A mere 10 years ago talk of your vacuum having a software update, or having an incident falling down the stairs would have been met with laughter !! BTW a 6 months review update on ANY consumer item is, at least twice as useful as a simple review.

Hi, just out of curiosity, do you always keep your Roborock in the docking station and connected to the AC current (basically the battery stays always at 100% charge)? I'm asking this because I've read studies (batteryuniversity.com for example) that states the oposite, to never keep a battery charged at 100% for a long period of time and I know a friend who's roborock battery went dead after only 8 months of usage (he kept the roborock all the time in the docking station, charged to 100%, as recommended in the Xiaomi manual).

The only problem I have with mine after a year of using, is that the app sometimes draws the outline of my flat that's a little bit twisted, so I can't draw straight lines when selecting an area to clean. There is somehow no way to rotate the map. Other than that, Roborock was the best buy of 2017/18 for me.

I usually just make the area bigger on the map to cover anything that isn't straight! And this has also been one of the best things I got this year

Symbianity I have noticed over time the map does become a little distorted, you can try to remap the robot use the Remote Control Feature to drive around the room, I find this the quickest way to map the layout of your house, you can also use the GO feature and have the robot go to different areas of the house.

Ha, no kidding I just purchased a Neato botvac D75 for $200.00 and it does laser mapping unlike the bump and go bots that make no damn sense. This one has no WIFI and no app, it's sophisticated simplicity. I hope it's as good as the reviews claim it to be. I've been looking for a good robo vac for sometime now, with 6 cats I need a helping hand.
@RedskullPro6 жыл бұрын

Replacing botvac d75 with roborock. D75 has worked ok but its not comparable with roborock! D75 was getting styck alot and I got it replaced twice for various problems so durability isnt so good on neato.. And The battery is nimh and needs to be replaced every year atlest for me that often use it once or twice a day... Save the money and go for roborock, you wont regret it!!
@Finite-Tuning6 жыл бұрын
@@andreforslof5800 I love my D75 so far, batteries are cheap so I'm not concerned about that. You can hardly get a bump and go bot for 200 bucks and I got a laser mapping D75 for those numbers, I'm not complaining. This Roborock is more than twice the price and the only real difference I can see is app control?! That's not worth more than double the cost to me, actually, it holds zero value to me since I don't even use the scheduling feature that I already have. However, I cannot yet speak to the D75's longevity as mine is quite new still. But I use it 6 days a week, so if it has a weakness, I'm sure to find it.
@andreforslof58006 жыл бұрын
finite tuning glad you are happy with the d75. Virtual Walls! No-go zones, zone cleanup and smarter cleaning and lounger batterytime. D75 has none of these.. you can buy roborock for 355 dollars from china... I did and its so much more worth the extra bucks!
@Finite-Tuning6 жыл бұрын
@@andreforslof5800 I can do a no-go zone via the included magnetic strip with my D75, but the Roborock basically has me beat in tap a screen features. I have no interest in tapping, I only care about pushing a button and cleaning my house. The D75 has a much larger beater bar vrs the Roborock. I'm getting 2 cleaning cycles in my 1000 sq ft home per charge. For $200 bucks I can't find "anything" better. More costs more, the Roborock already falls behind the D75 in cleaning swath and it costs more. It jokingly mops the floor, it has tech that i don't care about. I don't think the Roborock is the bot for me, too expensive and less cleaning ability, more bells and whistles that I don't care about, and in the end, it's still a dumb vacuum cleaner. I appreciate the heads up and maybe when my Neato D75 fails I might look at Roborock again, but for now I'm very happy with my purchase at half the cost of this Roborock and I'll wake up tomorrow morning and push that home button to clean my house, I'll stand and watch the thing for a few minutes in amazement and then out thew door I go.
@pacomartinperez5 жыл бұрын

I agree that it is a slightly better option for a robot vacuum. But the price difference doesn't make the slight differences worth it.
