Hi Rob, I noticed you cleaned up drywall dust with your vac. When I did this it filled my garage with dust and now does this every time I turn it on. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

This vac has a weighted filter cloth inside it. Before you empty the canister, smack the beanbag in the cloth filter up and down to shake the dust off the filter. If you are getting any blow by dust from your vac ensure the filter is fully attached and fully sealed all the way around the upper vac canister.

Thank you for the video. I bought one of these units only it was rebranded as "Prolux". The manual is laughable. I was wondering why it has 2 intake ports (not inlets). What do I do with the other intake port?

You can use one or both intake ports and attach them to the central vac pipes for your home, or you can leave one with the supplied plug in it. There is a front port that you can plug your vac in directly and this one has a sealing flap that is spring loaded for when you are not using it. You will have to turn the vac on and off manually to use this port. (designed for garage use). I think there are two exhaust ports also. You can use the muffler in the exhaust port of your choice and plug the other port. Hope this helps. Cheers! Rob

How loud is the main power unit?

It has a muffler and an induction motor so its pretty quiet. Quieter than a regular vacuum.

I recently purchased an electrolux pu3900. It came with a plastic ring 2" dia and 3/4" thick On the rings outside there are two protutions on opposite sides to apparantly catch on something?. The rings inside is not cirular but consist of multible flat segments There was no mention in any of document as what the heck it was for? Do you have any idea?

That vac looks just like my model. There was a rubber washer that was supposed to be mounted behind the mounting plate to reduce vibration noise (I found mine after the install). Could that be the part you are referring to?

Thank for the reply, It is not the vibration suppressor that mounts in the back. It is a ring similiar to a coupling. but it is the same dia. as normal vac pipe. Also only 3/4 wide. I call Electrolux, who refered me to three agents. Two no longer did installs and the third didnt know what it was even after sending pictures:(:(. The only thing I have come up with is it is an adapter that goes in the end of the muffer to onnect to somekind of flexible discharge tubing.

That sounds like the disposable bag adapter that fits onto the utility inlet valve inside the machine. The two little protrusions on the outside correspond to notches in the disposable bag collar.

How to you get the dust collector off at bottom, pain in the ass.

You mean the dust bin? Some of them have latches but this one has a sort of cam twist lock on the sides. Grab the dust bin and twist clockwise and it should release. To reinstall align the plastic bucket tabs in front of the canister twist locks, push firmly up and twist counter clockwise. Cheers! Rob

Nothing goes through the impeller and it’s bagless with a plastic bucket so a little water won’t damage it or small spilled food chunks.

The unit should have a cloth divider with a bean bag attached above the detachable dust canister. You shouldn't need a bag but often they come with a bag as an option. When you remove the dust canister leave it underneath and hit the bean bag with your hands a few times to knock off the excess dirt and dust. Dump the canister and reinstall it and you should be good to go! Cheers! Rob

I just got this new camera and the mic wasn't very good and it was not very compatible with mic's. Had to buy a new camera and also took a while to find a mic. Turns out the only place to get decent mic's is at a music store. Also the cost of buying a camera, another camera and a mic at the same time is extremely expensive.
