Okay, I've been waiting for you all to realize this. Robin makes the BeeGees what it is. You cannot have the BeeGees sound without Robin at all. The timber and purity of his voice is crazy. He was always overshadowed by Barry, which is why Robin and Barry struggled a lot in their relationship. I think Robin had resentment. I grew up listening to the BeeGees and I will tell you that they were played in my house from the very beginning and through the disco phase. My parents loved them throughout. Their album "Mr. Natural" was their last pre-disco album, in like '74, and it didn't have any hits, but it's really good and has a lot of hints of things to come. When the Bee Gees went "disco" (it was actually R&B-based), they lost many fans, but gained millions of new ones, and eventually, all of the fans were able to reconcile the two phases as part of a whole incredible body of work. One of the reasons the group broke up temporarily in the late 60s is because Robin decided he could be a star without his brothers, and he did have a substantial solo career, but eventually came back to the group and they made history together.

He sings way too much thru the nose. Worst nasal sound ever. If Barry hadn’t taken over the lead singing, this band would have not been what it became. Hes way too nasally. Music 101, “don’t sing thru your sinuses”

I never thought of their music as "Disco". It was just the Bee Gees. ❤ I love ALL their music! And, yes, thank you for this....have been waiting a while for you to react to it!❤

You guys know Barry turned 78 on September 1st and it was he and Linda's 54th wedding anniversary.

I can't help it but whenever I see & hear Robin sing, I get really emotional knowing he's no longer with us. My God, what a voice. The Bee Gees wrote and performed the songbook of my whole life and I'll always love them for what they gave us all. RIP Robin, Maurice & Andy. 💔💔💔

One the most recognisable voices in music history , amongst dozens of incredible Bee Gees tracks , this is my favourite , Amber really feels the emotion in Robins voice , great reaction .

Gotta play their first hit from their debut album, "To Love Somebody" (1967). It's brilliant, and has become a standard.

Spend an hour with Bee Gees 1st. It's perhaps the 2nd or 3rd album I purchased as a young lad at 14 years of age and now as a 70 + year old person, it's never been forgotten or removed from my list of monthly plays. The transition from this style to the disco world was necessary for them to make a living and the rest is history. Personally, the progression from their beginning to that time period was amazing and I am not confidant a new listener could ever duplicate that experience, but this group is always a delight, no matter what age group you are part. Thank you for the video.

Straight to Jail for that comment Jordan lol. Robin’s voice is beautiful and I’m glad you finally got to this song. Please react to their documentary on Max, so good.

The marvel of Robin Gibb was his soft lilting natural vibrato that ironically gave him such a powerful voice.
