Collecting jasper quartz and agate and also identification. Watch my channel for quartz agate crystal collecting collectors and prospecting tips. I also do lapidary work and cutting and polishing of most stones. Many jaspers found petrified wood gems and minerals also.

Hello Nathan, I've just found your video and have been wanting to walk the river to look for petrified wood and arrow heads. Can you recommend a place to park with access to the river? Great video - thanks for posting! Cheers - Luther

Hi, Love Love Love the rocks... Can You tell me exactly where You went? Like your city or directions. We went today from the North side of Houston & there was NOTHING. The River was kinda high, so there where NO Sand Bars... I would APPRECIATE it a lot. Just a little hint lol. .. Thanks.

Was this the east fork of San Jacinto? I think I may try my luck looking for petrified wood next week there

You were going over stuff so fast it was visually difficult to watch as the camera was going in circles and back and forth at such a pace, it was great when you actually slowed up and I could see what there was around, then it became interesting.

I was going down there 20 years ago...Never found any large pieces of petrified but did find a few arrowheads and one large scraper..that road used to make a circle before the 90's..If you want know know a better place let me know, last year I hauled off a trunk piece about 800lbs not too far from there...

This portion of the river is up in the Woodlands area give or take a few miles. No need to get close to Houston, too much thick gumbo and mosquitos.

You find any places? There’s a book called gem trails of Texas that is a good starting point. What city are you close to?

Your camera keeps freezing and we can't see what your picking up. I'd love to see all your pieces. Beautiful stuff but I never got to see the things your girlfriend picked up. Please work on your camera work. Would have loved to have see the end of your video. 😔 I ran it back frame by frame and was able to see the rest.

Would it be possible to get a good starting point on the river to look for petrified wood with my daughter? Not asking for your secret areas! Lol

Not sure where you live but I live in Spring, Tx and take my grandkids down to Spring Creek with easy access on a park trail. Spring Creek goes to the San Jacinto River and this area is full of petrified wood and all sorts of other rocks. Bing Cypresswood Dr & Treaschwig Rd, head North on Treaschwig until it makes a hard right at this point you are in front of a park/entrance with parking area and hiking trail, follow that trail to the river and rocks galore, good safe hunting area!
