@michaelscott9936 жыл бұрын
Well, hard work beating talent is only one of the many themes of the show. It was one of the first shown to us, but there are also many others. Examples: Never giving up on your dreams, never abandoning your friends("those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum"), keeping promises("I never go back on my word"), trying to make amends with those you have disagreements with/forgiveness(i.e. like all of Shippuden), making sacrifices for the next generation (will of fire), and many more. People criticize Shippuden for abandoning the hard work themes, but I think we saw enough hard work put in from the characters in the original series and I think the shift from the themes of hard work to the more friendship based themes was a good choice. The themes of friendship were already prevelant in the original series as well. Some of the themes in the show might be taken to an extreme, unattainable naive level like forgiving people who've murdered hundreds of people, but I don't think the show has to be realistic in that sense. I think the fact that Naruto can convince all these completely warped murderers back into good people is very inspiring even if unrealistic. When I watch Naruto and see him convince these characters we used to despise into decent people, it makes me feel good inside.

Starting freshman year of high school I study I worked hard after school I did as much homework as I could I fought the school system to put me in honors classes for 5 years and still didn’t give me what I deserved! By graduation they were passing out rewards. I have one first and second Greatest of all boys sports in my school! I ended with a 3.9 GPA and The highest record of a GPA of kid with a Disability is 3.5, so I feel like I already exceeded my expectations. When I walked up on the stage with all those rewards. Everybody looked at me with shock, it was at that moment when everybody wanted to finally be my friend and apologize for the things I have done and said to me, but I ignored them and kept moving forward. Everyone keeps saying you need a mentor like Guy, but did you ever stop to wonder who Guy had to help him? Sometimes in life, the only way is believing yourself even when no one else does. What makes a mentor great is the fact that they had little-to-no help through their own difficult times, but they believed in themselves and pushed forward. That's why they believe (and prove) that if THEY could do it without anyone's help, then anyone can do it with THEIR help. It's a blessing to have a mentor like Guy, who believes in you, but real strength is in being like him. Believe in yourself. Don't wish for someone like Guy. Be him. And then who knows, sometime in the future, someone sees themselves in you and decides to be your "mentor".

Iruka taught me... not to judge people by their reputations but by their personalities. Haku taught me... that there is no good or evil when you're protecting the ones you love. Neji taught me... that if you leave your pride behind you can change your destiny. Rock Lee taught me... that hard work beats talent. Kakashi taught me... that teamwork and friendship stand above the rules. Hinata taught me... that love is worth fighting for. Sai taught me... that a life without feeling isn't worthwhile. Sakura taught me... that weakness is a choice, not an excuse. Gaara taught me... how painful loneliness can be and how love can change someone. Nagato taught me... that revenge and hatred only lead to more revenge and hatred. Asuma taught me... how important it is to take care of the next generation. Shikamaru taught me... that sometimes you even have to do the things that bother you the most. Might Gai taught me... that it doesn't matter what other people say about you. Minato and kushina taught me... that parent's love beat all else. Sarutobi taught me... that problems should be solved with kindness rather than with violence. Sasuke taught me... that you should not only dream about things but actually achieve them. Itachi taught me that... sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the greater good. Tsunade taught me... to never abandon the living for the dead. Jiraya taught me... that you must never give up your faith in humanity and your hope of peace. Obito taught me... that it is never too late to revert to the right way. Madara taught me... that peace is no peace without freedom. And Naruto... well, we all know that Naruto taught us a lot. but the most important thing is: no matter what happens in your life... NEVER GIVE UP !!! BELIEVE IT!

The story of Rock Lee is a sad one...because at the end of the day the answer was no. He became a very decent Ninja, but he never beat those who were considered truely talented, not Sasuke, nor Gaara, Nor Naruto. He is so human and so relatable and he teaches us an important lesson, sometimes all the practice in the world is simply not enough to beat those who were "chosen". However Lee's achievements are immeasurable because right behind them, the closest to those stars that were so so unnaturally high was Rock Lee and Rock Lee alone. He might never have beaten them but he was sure as hell the closest to them. Rock Lee, a true inspiration, a true man, and while only an animation and drawing he's also one of the most compelling humans there are.
@Matumark3 жыл бұрын
In the anime world, beating or not beating is mainly in terms of physical strength. To me, he beats most of them with his character and willpower. If those Uchiha stars didn't have the power, who knows where they would end up with all of that emotional baggage :P Rock Lee has the power which could help us the most in real life, so yes, a true inspiration like you said!
@LoveLee_Dreamer2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, it's more an issue of the story becoming too ambitious than of Lee not being good enough. We can see with Guy being considered the strongest by Madara that Lee could have matched and even surpassed the others given time, but the story veered way too far into special powers and inner demons and literal interdimendional aliens to tell a compelling story about the everyman becoming a legend. To me, just like with Boruto, the problem is the direction the writing took. I feel like Lee should have surpassed them all, or at least matched up with them, as he was clearly meant to from the start.

Fax, might guy achieve the title "strongest taijutsu master" from madara through hardwork and passion. Kakashi IS stronger than Might Guy. However, kakashi's massive power up was given by Obito Uchiha, and he has the most busted MS in my opinion so he got the easy way of gaining power and also his perfect susanoo(kakashi's strongest form) was also from obito and he also got a little bit of 6P power from obito. To be fair it wears down Sasuke's stamina incredibly fast, Lee can go on for much longer. If Sasuke and Lee went 1vs1 Taijutsu during the chunin exams Lee would have won, like he was winning against him before Guy interrupted them.

“I am not afraid of a person who knows 10000 kicks. But I am afraid of a person who knows one kick but practices it for 10000 times.” - Bruce Lee. Rock Lee practiced Taijutsu all time and became the best at this sphere. Best example of Hard work.

Using this as motivation to join the marines. I’ve always quit when things get hard and ontop of that I have such a severe learning disability. I have to work my ass off to learn and comprehend pretty much anything while everyone else just absorbs it like a sponge. Must be nice being born with talent, not everyone is so fortunate. This reminds me to keep moving forward, because everyone else may be much smarter than me, stronger, faster. But the one good thing about my learning disability, is I’ve developed the one thing they don’t have. Perseverance. Most others are so arrogant and cocky with their talent and skill, they grasp everything so easily that they’ll never understand what real determination and perseverance is like. Because they’ve never been in that situation, and if they have it’s not to the extent people like me and rock lee have. Now I’ve got to start at square one and apply that to physical training which is why I watch this. I’m trying to learn all the ranks and general orders before going in, while in I’ll only have less than 3 months to learn it all. It’ll mean so much to me if I can make it through their boot camp. And then I can tell myself I’m not as dumb or weak as I thought I was, I just made it through one of the hardest training programs in the world.

I'm the same way too brother. I told everyone back at home that I wanted to join the Army but they doubted me so much and even my own family. But I had to work hard and keep grinding until I passed their standards and went through basic. Everything in my path is an obstacle for me..... But I'm glad that those obstacles are there for me and anyone else, because without those obstacles, I wouldn't have learn what it meant to get to where I am now. A soldier and a Combat Engineer(12B).

And I wanted to be the kind of person that my teammates can trust on games.

I think the reason most people find his backstory the worst is because it’s more realistic and relatable. No one in real life can have a monster trapped in them No one can have their entire town killed But the one that mostly happens... Is bullying.

I always admire this a lot. I am a martial artist myself. My elder brother is my rival in martial arts. He is naturally gifted in jeet kune do. He was taught by Tim tackett, and taki Kamara, former Bruce Lee's students. I remember what he told me when I was a kid, he said that I will never be in his level. I felt like I could never beat him. But when I turned 18 years old. I met a man in a local gym working out. Then he was also training martial arts in a punching bag. I never seen anyone that fast. He was doing traditional thai boxing and wing chun. I was amazed by that. Then I asked him if he ever taught anyone. He said no just always been trained alone. I asked him if he can train me. Because I wanted to get even with my brother. Revenge was on my mind. But he taught me that never to misused against family members. I kept that promise. Then the training was so hard but I never gave up on myself. Then I found out that perseverance is my gift. After 2 years later he trained me wing Chun, he said this will build up more of your defense and quick attacks. So he taught me to combine both arts. Then 2 years later me and my brother got in to it. He never expected how much I improved. Then after that he said no more josh. In that moment. I finally got his respect. He met my master and told him thank you for training my brother. He has gotten better because of you sifu rene. I cried with happiness because he respected my master very much. Now 14 years later. I am proud to say I am now a true martial artist of myself. And now me and my brother train together we are now close.

Thank you for your inspiring story! I'm very interested in martial arts, especially Wing Chun and everything connected to Bruce Lee as well :D I can't even stand on my legs without support at the moment, but dreaming about doing martial arts one day gives me strength (Y) Of course I can always practice martial arts even with a disability, but I also mean the real deal - I'm willing to go that far.
@RicoLC856 жыл бұрын
Madis Mark awww thank you so much. I did came along way for believing myself that I can do it without holding back. Even though you might have a disability. It is never too late to learn wing Chun. I truly believe that you can overcome your inner self. Don't let your disability hold your dreams to become a true martial artist. It is all in yourself. Your inner essence is your strength to improvise, adapt, and overcome.
