Rock Train Makes Epic Run Up Hill! Listen To EMD Power Attack Williamsburg Hill! Will They Make It?

Heavy Rock Train Takes A Run At Williamsburg Hill! This Is An Epic Struggle Against Gravity. Listen To These Locomotives Giving All Their Might As They Lean Into The Steep & Windy Hill In Williamsburg, Ohio. This is the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET. This is a short line railroad east of Cincinnati on a Norfolk Southern Line known as the Peavine Line.
I was inside the house watching train videos on KZbin when I heard a train running through Mount Orab, Ohio. I got my cameras, a radio, Chessie and headed to the railroad. The first scene is at Bodman Road on the west side of Mt Orab. I rarely film here so I went here to change it up a little. We see the fireman's side of the train at the railroad crossing heading westbound.
After that I decided to get the engineers side of the train in Williamsburg so that I would have both sides. I went to the base of Williamsburg Hill and caught the train coming around the curves and making a run at it. The train really sounded awesome as it passed by pulling the heavy loaded cars up the hill. The train actually made it up the hill pretty easily. This was one of the heaviest trains yet. I have seen the trains stall on this hill a few times in the past but not this time. I hope this video does justice to the sounds of the train. Just listen to that EMD power.
The video also has the Live Action Pets and a short scene from a play at Lillia's school. I had to change the sound during the encore due to a copyright claim from the music. Don't miss the slide show that comes from the video also.

While its not Horseshoe Curve it's a great spot for Creative photos. Extra points for Loki for actually remembering where he buried the bone

Now that's what I call a train tackling the grade! Flat out run at the hill with the horn letting everyone know they're on the way. Looked like a proper train on the Peavine. CCET locos looking fine too. No one can have missed hearing them passing through Williamsburg. Chessie was enjoying the afternoon outing as well. She's a real railroad dog. You can see she likes to see the trains. Seems like a while since we've seen her out with you. A very enjoyable video!

Hi I'm in Canada...Love your videos! I have been watching for years and have never commented before. I grew up next to the old TH&B railway. It was bought out by CP Rail years ago. There is a park in Hamilton that has one of their old steam engines, Gage Park I believe. Vacation suggestion Hamilton Ontario!

There are photos of TH&B locomotive 103 being moved to the Westfield Heritage Centre near Rockton, west of Hamilton. Canada is a great place for trains. As a child I remember CP 5433 2-8-2 Mikado on permanent display in Chapleau, Ontario. And, at the train station in Chapleau, the engineer let me climb up the ladder to take a look inside the cab of his running F unit ! To a kid that was unbelievable. We also took the Agawa Canyon tour train and had a great day on the rails. Jaw Tooth should take you up on your invitation to Ontario, land of many trains and friendly people.

You caught this westbound Cincinnati Eastern Railroad train at two good locations, Jaw Tooth! The train was moving at a good clip as it approached the bottom of Williamsburg Hill which allowed the train to make it up Williamsburg Hill without any problems. You also received a big wave from the engineer as he passed you at the bottom of Williamsburg Hill.

great video, Jaw Tooth, have a wonderful Tuesday stay dry, Rain suppose to be coming our way Wednesday thru Friday, 4 1/2 inches, Wow. Also did you hear about Bridge collapse over Baltimore Harbor at 3 am Tuesday morning across I-695, whole bridge went into water expect one end. So sad, there was loss of life, got them in my prayers.

That giant boat was only going 9mph and knocked the whole thing down. That was bizarre. I sure hope that they find the six workers who are missing. Prayers to Baltimore

They have found 2 still alive, but they are in Critical care in their cars under the water, that was a total miracle. The Angels of God were watching over them. That bridge came down too fast, it almost looked like it was sabotaged. We been having strange disasters around USA, Remember when they started burning down meat processing plants last year and year before. A country who falls into Communism all these weird things start happening, We have to pray for our nation that the leaders put God first so we can be saved from all of what is coming. When I was in Junior High School I was cast as the Lead in our class version of St George And the Black Knight. I was very vnervous and was too shy to say my lines during rehearsals, so the teacher suggested one of the Girls in the class to take on the role instead. I was to be fair, Outraged by this development and voiced my displeasure Saying "You Can't have a Girl playing St George! This isn't a pantomime!" (where Girls and women regularly play The part of "The Principal Boy") and eventually persuaded The teacher to recast me. I didn't realise it at the time but this was the plan - To make me so upset that I'd power through my embarrasment and play the part. My best friend played the Black Knight part. His name was Alan Gordon. I moved from London to Wales the following year andI lost touch with all of my old friends. But it's funny how seeing your Kid in a play brought it all back. It was a success though (As far as school productions Go)

I wanted to tell you about a CSX I saw today at 1PM. It was headed south thru Carlisle, Ohio. There was 1 engine and 5 DPU's ! Train was not that long, I didn't count< I usually do, but less than 100 cars. Moving pretty good too!
