Rocket League | Montage #1

Sorry this video took so long to make. I scrapped half of it last night because I didn't like how it looked, so I spent the last 15 hours editing and redoing everything. Turned out okay I think, hope you enjoy it.

I'll just say this in a comment instead of replying to everyone: I actually thought about throwing the whole montage out because of how over-edited it was at first (I actually did end up throwing out half of it), but thought some people would enjoy it. Next one will be a little more toned down(ie. shots looking less like lag and more like slow-mo), I promise. I'm taking in all feedback.Thanks!

+Sir Timbers i dont think it was an over-edit. It was clean, relaxing and pure. Gave me a vintage feeling. Great use of black bars too. Keep up good work ! (And loved the music choice too :3 )

+Qalwax Glad you liked it. Some people like the over-edited style and others just want to watch the clips with a bit of cinematic. As an editor who practically learned everything from Call Of Duty Montages it's sometimes hard for me to not to completely mess with all the clips so they do something cool or sync to a shot. I think there are definitely some points in the video that could have used a bit less slow-mo, but HEY! that's how you learn.

+Sir Timbers I like the heavy editing though I think some of the speed ups and slow downs are a detriment to seeing what actually is happening (just like in the game replays!!!)

+Ree Verze Yea that was pretty damn good, but it still doesn't appeal me as much as this montage. I can't quite put my finger on why, but the music probably has a lot to do with me favoring this one. Also, this feels more mature to me. Don't know why exactly! :D

I've never commented on a youtube video before, but I really enjoyed this montage and I really hope you aren't hard on yourself for this video cause it was great. I was expecting some MLG dubstep crap, but this was great! The music was a nice slow pace and really differs from other montages. It was very unique. But the one problem I had with it was the speeding up and slowing down. It just didn't look very smooth and didn't fit the music. Maybe try going from slow to normal speed and not "faster-than-normal" speeds. Anyways, that's my opinion, and you don't have to listen to it. ;D
