S6 Grand Finals Torment was that and even more imo. I've never seen a lan performance that made me think "this guy is playing at another level" more than this one. As a French, don't understand how people can still not recognize the fact that G2 has been the best team itw this season. Could be debatable before the major, now they've proven it. 8 grand finals in a row, it has to say something. Weirdly enough, I don't necessarily see them as World's favorite since it's in two months (still among the favorites). But they ALWAYS performed this season. Unlike VIT and BDS who got slaughtered, SSG was competitive, beating contenders and GenG got cut by G2 by one point in game 7. NA had three of the top four teams between NA EU, which is wild.

G2 likes to play in the last quarter of the field. It stops normal speedy rotations, and it's why they make other teams look bad. It's also really discouraging to spend tons of time in your goal box.

Neither Daniel nor Atomic play the ball the same way as bmode, but I'd argue they would be just about as effective. It's just hard on offense for them to all get highlight time when bmode is always there... but if all a team is doing is shutting out bmode, if g2 recognizes where they're opening up because of that, I feel like it'll be over pretty quick. I just think teams have to be comfortable not clearing the ball against g2 and keeping it in the corner while a tm8 grabs boost. G2s attack doesn't work with defense from behind either, so the defensive rotations would be pristine and effective

Falcons were dominating nearly every team before the grandfinals constant pressure and composure what happend ?!

My best guess? G2 did serious study and adjustment beforehand, they played rotations differently than against almost every other team they played against, they created an additional defensive layer where they generally fake challenged early on, they went for super early midfield aerial challenges even from their back wall and they went really demo heavy for the first three games, it seemed like it really threw falcons off, then when falcons planned to adjust after timeout, instead of waiting to see what would happen g2 did almost the opposite rotationally, they went into a full on press throwing everything they had into peppering the net, I believe it again derailed falcons plans and expectations, then they let off just enough to get some better quality plays in scored and forced falcons to play from behind instead, neither style was what was expected, in game 5 they got lucky and scored a couple easy goals to start and by that point falcons were seriously struggling mentally, basically they used psychological warfare. I personally think falcons are still in better form they just got too many curve balls too fast in the series, and weren't ready for it.

@@somerandomchad4699 I could be way off, G2 generally does a fair amount of fake challenging and loves aerial play, but it didn't seem to work in swiss, so I just asked what did they do differently the second time around, and for me the bigger focus on demos and playing with a deeper third man were the two biggest standouts the first three games, the fake challenges and quick aerial challenges played into that, they basically begged falcons to go for overhead outplays that gave the ball to the deeper third, but like I said maybe that is in my head.
