Yeah Ollie is right. They adjust their sleep schedules to cope with jet lag and to suit the race. Because it was a night race they go to bed early morning (e.g. Max at 4am) so that when it’s time for the race their body is wide awake like it’s mid day rather than getting tired because it’s night

Even he wasn’t on the right sleep schedule for the time zone (which he was), guy is still in his early 20s. It’s not until your mid-30s that starts hurting your performance. But, yeah, Max is fairly good. Some might even say better than Lance.

What a surprise that Johnny Herbert, who once blamed Alonso for upsetting his wife, unilaterally instigated the penalty even though Russell, the biggest snitch in F1, never complained about it until Herbert coached him.

Alonso gave himself the penalty, because immediately when he saw Russell go off, he started making up a nonsense story on the radio about a throttle issue that supposedly made him go slower than usual, and also started messing with the throttle to try to sell that story. If he'd done nothing wrong, there's no reason to start making a cover story for it. RPM kind of left that part out.
