Just got mine and spent three hours enjoying how great the details and diecast are. The only thing i'd complain about is Mr. Charles not doing a guide on how to assemble this bad boy :p scratched mine while trying to put in his legs :( other than that tyvm for your awesome in depth reviews keep up the great job!

I just noticed the battle tank wheels holders have 2 on each sides... while in Gx03 and 50 have only 1 on each sides..... i have to check the show again if whats the correct one......

Epic review of this beast! I was kinda hoping the dx would have have the removable panels to show the inner workings. Hopefully you're right and grendizer is next. I'd really really like to get a giant robo (from the 90's anime) but he doesn't seem to get much love sadly

Nicely done! Combattler V preceded Voltes V and is in some ways a better anime as it wasn't as melodramatic as Voltes V was at times. Several of Combattler's weapons were updated for Voltes V. And some of the vehicles had better designs like the Battle Crasher & Battle Marine.

I ended up ordering a src mazinger z and a gx 73 great mazinger to go with this DX and my SoC Grendizer. I know you have them all and I wish you would take a picture of all of them together. I think these combined comes closest to scale with one another. I have to wait 2 more weeks to finally see all of them together.

This thing is amazing, but sadly the DX line is something I can't do monetarily unless it's Voltron--naturally. Definitely looking forward to getting Cobattler in the new Full Action line, though!

Be very careful on the wheels coming out of the knees. Putting it back is very tricky. Don't force it. On the instructions it shows that inside the leg there are 2 channels where the last part of the wheel slides into. The back nub is supposed to go into the upper channel. The way to do it properly; as you are pushing the wheel diagonally back, you should be trying to lift the stem that holds the wheel up so that the nub slides into the upper channel. If you do it right, then the whole thing slides smoothly. If you are pushing with force, it's already in the wrong channel and should start again. Yeesh, that thing was a pain.

DX Soul is nowhere close to $155, it is way above $500 range, you gotta be looking at regular DX to see a price tag of $155 not the DX Soul which is this one. You will be lucky to find one at $500

re: 11:57 soul of popynica it was also a separate brand just like soul of chogokin with their own PX numbers. It was very confusing in the 00s when there was GD and GX and PX. The greatest fail of Tamashii: having a very- high-end release which fails to have perfect transformation. On GaoGaiGar they managed to give PERFECT TRANSFORMATION hands some articulation. While on a DX release you have to swap hands despite its hands are bigger than GGG's and could have been given some articulation to form fists. And these crappy sounds no one needs! This is when Laserion, Neo Getter, Getter Go, some Evas and even the iconic Might Gaine have no SOC releases!

Im sure its not a lack engineering skills but a cost cutting measure. All those little pieces for the hand require big heavy steel molds. But yeah I get what you're saying. Only Bandai knows why

@@ВасилийМорозов-л7х yeah the sound thing is probably more for hardcore fans in japan. Ive seen toy molds and even for tiny pieces they use huge blocks of steel because they need to make parts trees. I forgot what toy manufacturer was showing me molds buy they need a crane to pick some of them up and when they open the mold its a few teeny pieces. Seems like a waste of space and money but there are reasons I guess to not fill upbthe mold with pieces

Some Resque Bots shit can have sounds as it is a toy for stewpd 4-7 y.-olds who bash their toys together with their kindergarden friends and listen to pew-pew sounds. But DX SoC is not a kindergarden Resque Bots thing. The omission of sounds removes: The cost of soundbox itself The cost of molds to produce parts that hold the soundbox (I mean if thete is no soundbox, the figure is simplified, the amount of parts and molds decreases) The cost of assembly steps required to place the soundbox. But Bandai managed to ruin perfect transformation as an excuse for placing soundboxes in EVERY component. After the release od Gx-70 Mazinger Z, Bandai begins and keeps failing for some reason.
