I’m 35 and saw them live just last night and it makes me seriously happy to see younger crowds embracing them the same as we did. If you ever find yourself at a metal concert you’ll quickly learn that metal heads are some of the kindest and more respectful people you’ll ever meet

I was never a fan of Slipknot, but my mom had a soldier who was going through depression at the time they had him on watch because he was found laying on the roof of a building jamming out to music. My mom asked me if I could talk to him, I did and he was going on and on about Slipknot and I remember smiling.. anyways the military ended up kicking him out and my mom fought for him with no luck. A few months later we received emails from him saying how sorry he was and he loved us. We later learned that after writing the emails he took his own life. A few months after that Slipknot came to EP Texas and me and my mom went to see them, for him.
