I feel the same as you. I have been looking at older tractors to avoid the new electronic dependent fuel systems and functions because I don’t need all the bells and whistles but what I do need is for my tractor to make hay when the sun shines and I have heard too many complaints about new tractors being crippled in the middle of a hay harvest by a “sensor” going bad. P.S. I am a life long maintenance mechanic so I have seen firsthand how the new electronics can make repairs much more difficult. I am a strong believer in keeping the mechanical equipment you depend on everyday as simple as possible

Just purchased a TYM 494 ROPS paid $32,000 including tax . Could have stepped up to the 574 but 494 was more tractor than I really needed plus the turbo is just something else that could possibly give problems later on after warranty was done. Unit came with grapple, stump bucket, land plane, tires filled and several other odd and ends even has blue tooth speakers and work lights. The tractor is outstanding. My dealer is 15 miles away and maintenance on tractor is very easy to do. Felt the price was very fair. Very happy with purchase would do all over again if needed. PS GREAT VIDEO THANK YOU.

Brock, the TYM574 is the one I was guessing you were going to end up with, nice looking tractor! I've been eyeing it for awhile though I've gone back and forth between the 474 and the 574... I think if I pull the trigger on one itll probably be the 574 at this point. I do want to support my (semi) local dealer, but thats a bangin' deal from your dealer! It's a huge blessing being in the position you are, sell those other machines and feature other loaners for awhile!

I sold my Kubota M7060 with 700hrs and bought a TYM T494 with a cab. I had a lot of sleepless nights wondering if I made the right choice. I now have 150 hours on the T494, and I couldn't be happier. It lifts almost as much as the m7060 It plows wet heavy snow better using the same 8' plow it pulls logs pretty good not as good as the Kubota, but it has 20hp less. Tym also has a 6-year warranty and Kubota has 3. I like the Kukje engine also, I went with the T494 because It didn't have a turbo just one less thing to brake. It does seem to use a little more fuel than the Kubota but not terrible. I enjoyed your videos on all the different tractors you did a great job and will be a help to anyone looking to buy a new tractor. Take care

My father bought his Kubota in 1989. He sadly passed a decade ago, I still have it, never had a problem with it. I bought a B2601 last year for more capacity, 150hrs so far and zero issues. Kubota is the best machine made. Yanmar is the only other I would personally consider. For me, I value a machine that will keep going for decades without issue.

I considered Deere, tym and yanmar. After operating the ihmt trans, you really learn how gutless the hydrostatics are. That, coupled with reliability and overall quality, the yanmar really stood out to me. The Deere was too pricey, and the tym was too cheap feeling.
@helihoot9 ай бұрын
The YT359C is a work of art and a super strong machine. The IHMT transmission is an engineering marvel that works like an HST but is much more efficient. The A/B mode is amazing. Ground speed and engine rpm set independently in two separate modes. I'm thinking Brock didn't get to experience it's advantages. Automotive style cruise control, dual rear remotes standard. 2500lb FEL lifting capacity. Much much more. Pure hydrostatic like the TYM is a turn off. Too inefficient.

These ARE The "CADILLAC ESCALADE" of Compact Tractors. The TRANSMISSION & Build Quality are Second to None. With a PURE 10 year warranty these are the BEST.!! The only "down-points" are the limited dealers & the Price but better than JD & a stronger Tractor for Similar pricing to the Kubogy's.

I"ve got a yanmar 359c with just under 50 hrs on it. Like the tractor turns on a dime everything works slick as a button. After looking at a lot of tractors, I bought a used JD 2630 (75 HP) for $6,000. It has a new short block, injection pump, Hydraulic pump, and one new rear tire. I bought a new rear tire that matches. I bought an original matching 145 front end loader at auction. I ordered new hydraulic lines as the previous owner had installed rubber lines and were in the way of the front end installation. My dealer had to order the steel hydraulic lines from Atlanta for about $300 (three lines) and got them in 2 days. Almost everything else I needed the dealer had in stock. People, this is a 50 year old machine and absolutely no issue getting parts. There are no electronic issues with this machine ever lol, only electrical parts on the machine are the starter, alternator, lights. and battery. I plan to install new front tires and paint this winter and I will have around $10,000. I bought original factory repair manuals on EBay.

I went through the same review last year. It came down to TYM and Kioti. I went with Kioti due to the dealership being nearby and has been around for 40+ years. The TYM dealer would not change out the tires from R4 to either R14 ( preferred ) or R1 which brought the tractors more or less to the same price point. I certainly agree with you on the simplicity of the engine and the dealership even indicated that a DPF delete was very simple once the warranty expired. With one would have been a good choice for me. Good choice for you.

I looked at Mahindra, New Holland, Kioti and Massey Ferguson. I could have saved several Thousand dollars with more standard upgrades. I started out looking for a used tractor but I saw a lot of Korean/China made tractors with less than 200 hours being sold as is that has issues which tells me the quality control is not as good on these brands. Just my Humble opinion.

Agreed. While people do complain about kubota and John deere lifting capacity, They are set lower because of their tipping weight. They cannot guarantee you will not have weight on the back in order to keep you from tipping over and you suing them. The lifting capacity can be adjusted through the pressure release. Don't. Let the dealer find out but you can do it. And a good heavy bushhog makes it good counterweight.

The quality is absolutely not the same and making that mistaken assumption will hurt everyone buying a 20% cheaper machine because “it’s just as good!”. When we went tractor shopping I had limited choice as far as brands go. For us we were looking for cost, ease of use and availability. Eventually after knocking some brands off of the list we ended up going with a Massey Ferguson. We've looked into possibly getting a TYM but there are no dealers in this area and we didn't want to travel 2 hours to the nearest dealer. So far the Massey has been great and it's also a very simple machine, no electronic computers on in. We might go for a Massey Ferguson 2607H in the near future since it's one of the few tractors offered in the 75hp range that doesn't have a DEF system. I believe it also has mechanical fuel injection on it as well. Aside from that another option we've been eyeing is a Kubota 540 wheel loader since it's much more versatile and pre-setup for multi-function implements. Plus it has a hefty lifting capacity when equipped with pallet forks. :)

I'm on my second L series Kubota, loved them both. Have run a number of similar Deeres, no comparison in my opinion. Can't argue with the Tym selection, I was thinking hard about that before I stumbled on the L3560 with low hours at a great price.

Brock,reached a similar conclusion last month. My 574 HC with backhoe arrives tomorrow. I’ll post some vids on my channel.

I have a2021 TYM 574 cab tractor also, I love it. 899 hrs with no mechanical issues, Prior to that I had a KUBOTA L3901, which was a great also, but it definitely wasn't built as tough as the TYM. BTW I use my tractor in commercial use.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Excellent choice and deal on the TYM. As I had mentioned earlier my thoughts were that you would choose the TYM or the LS. I’m really looking forward to seeing the TYM perform over the next year with you! Awesome day at Rockhill Farm 👍👍🔥🔥. Christmas Came early this year……

When you called John Deere in the list, for me, it was the end of the video. I move to LS and after 3 years of service, I had no issues so far.

I saw this video when i wasnt tractor shopping. Suddenly im buying a tractor and this is the one I landed on. I'm going with a local dealer. I tried reaching out to the tractor yard via text and by their site and never heard back.

I was shopping the three South Korean brands, Kitoi, TYM and LS in 35 HP to under 40 HP. A combination of dealer ability to support, distance and deal at the time led me to purchase a Kioti. I liked all three brands though. 🚜

Brock, I'm new to tractors and your videos have been so helpful. Thank you so much for all the effort you have put in to making these videos. I was thinking the same thing that you mentioned, that I could buy two TYM tractors for the price of a Deer or Kabota and have a large one when I need a lot of power and a small one when I need to get in tight areas.

4/30/24..yo Brock, much impressed with your channel in general & your recent 6-10 recent videos re: ~60HP 4WD cab tractor comparisons..misc features & $$$.🚜 That was a great series & today you summarized all your research, time, study, travel/milage, dealer conversations/consultations...you did a very good job 👍on assimilating tons of details resulting in a best choice for your needs...& congrats to that dealer✅️ for recognizing the power of YT visibility easily translating into sales $$ not only for him, but also for TYM nationally. Kinda cool he also threw in that $1.00/mile delivery! Bet he will get several sales due to that factor as well. Ok Brock, "school talk/comparisons' are over now...let's get to work! Show us how you use that new Red machine...let's 'make some dust!'...😊💪

I got a kioti (and im very happy with it. no real complaints) but i wish i had known about TYM before i had made the purchase.

I own 2 Kubota's. The only thing I would give them a negative on are features. I bought a B3030 winter cabbed tractor about 12 years ago. They no longer make this model. The tractor was over $25K and and came without a factory installed 12-volt port. In addition, the wheels were so close to the frame that I couldn't run chains for winter use. So I had to install factory wheel spacers.

cheaper buy in canada then u.s seems at least my kubota dealer sells cheaper and few thousands of dollars off the attachments and ships it any wheres in canada and u.s

@michaelmactavish4445 are you looking at the L 5460 with a cab? I think the cab ad is $12,000. If you get the open station and you get the series, then this size machine was like 35,000 from kubota
@michaelmactavish44459 ай бұрын
@@RockhillfarmYT we bought the 49hp l4760 with cab and loader,bucket forks and puma blower for pretty good deal package with trailer included for $35,000with the trade of the old 6210 deere plus the kubota dealer took off $2,500 for the tractor and loader and $500 off the bucket and forks and $1,000 off the blower plus with 6x10 n&n trailer for pretty good package deal of $35,000 because we needed a new compact tractor and loader and blower to clear sidewalks in winter
@MusicandMachines9 ай бұрын
@@michaelmactavish4445 , our local dealers couldn’t even get the machines in to sell them. The only thing they had above 40 horse tractors was a small M series they had was a chicken house tractor that was priced at $75k.

TYM Corporation does NOT Support after sale customer needs. I purchased a T574, need a simple part that should be readily available. 9 weeks later NO part. TYM DOESN'T CARE. Don't buy a TYM
