This song takes right back to Radio City circa 1983. So much fun!

Heck ya! I was 13 years old, it was all ages and i had an older sister that drove us to Radio City! Saw them a couple times there. Also, the Kingbees, Jimmy and the Mustangs and the Blasters! The northwest corner of Knott and Ball Rd. It's a storage outfit now... :(

@@CrashNburnRC Very cool, I still have copy of that old 80's Music magazine (What's Happening) when I was on the cover at a Blasters show at Radio City...! Also liked Levi Dexter back in the day...

Their guitar player would go to my store and he'd noticed my pomp and asked if I heard of the rockin rebels. I said no. But the last few years I got to say hi and talk about rockabilly whenever I'd see him. Finally seeing a their video is very awesome

I've been looking for this very focused So Cal movement for years. Poorly documented period in music.

it has no place in rockabilly music. People in England who don't know the notoriety and ugliness of that flag put it on rockabilly cd's because they are pretty much clueless to American history.
@mikesullivan73052 жыл бұрын
@@TheGeosto it should be banned (that flag) the way the Germans of today make owning Mein Kampf the book illegal.

@@mikesullivan7305 It has EVERY place in Rockabilly! Back in the 1980s it simply meant Rockabilly Rebels - rebelling against all other forms of music. It was also a southern music pride thing - no different than Lynyrd Skynyrd and its millions of fans waving the flag at concerts. Don't over read too much in to it.....

The confederate flag was repurposed to be a symbol of the rockabilly movement and the music. Just as the swastika was once a symbol for peace until the Nazis found it.
