Magnus, simply the greatest. Love how he uses these little offbeat openings to bring his opponents out of their books.

the endgame technique from Magnus was pure class. So difficult to play, the 2 decoys with the pawns followed by the king march back and forth an then the brilliant Rh3 for dessert. Chess art in its finest

What a ridicolous, study-like ending.. absolutely amazing attacking skills shown by GM Carlsen. Impressive, to say the least.

excellent game from magnus. It would be wasy to criticize his slight slip up in the endgame, however we have to remember they had been playing for 4-5 hours at that point, with a calculation heavy endgame. mvl actually held out for a long time making magnus' task harder

+2 and the tournament lead for magnus, just like in norway... now all he has to do is lose one game, draw the rest and get overtaken by mamedjarov

That's Carlsen's form related to serious match ahead. He also missed GCT tournaments. I hope he will preserve this serious hunger for wins till the last round.

Very difficult double rooks endgame for both sides, especially for white, where each move is extremely critical.
