This was my request; I forgot my Paypal account is under a different alias. You got the right version. Pyle was a prolific singer/songwriter who penned Chris Ledoux's 'Cowboy In The Coupe DeVille' - written as 'Other Side Of The Hill' - and Jerry Jeff Walker's 'Jaded Lover,' among others. He was a magnificent storyteller, and this recording showcases that, as well as his unique voice and evocative guitar playing. My Uncle came across Pyle in the Dallas area in the 1990s, when he (my Uncle) was active in the acoustic/folk scene. Chuck Pyle passed away in 2015.

"Drifter's Wind" is probably Chuck's best-known song as it was his only charting single on the country charts (#60) back in 1985. I first heard Tish Hinojosa's version of "Drifter's Wind" on her "Culture Swing" album in 1992.
