As an 82 year old man I remember when I first danced to this song! So sexy! This by Home Free is so good that I'm remembering that very night. Excellent cover!!

Home Free was never a barber shop quartet. In fact they've never even been a quartet, there have always been five members. They sometimes integrate that style in their songs, but have made the point that they always wanted to move from that stereotype and take acapella into new and more creative styles. I think they have done that in spades!

Somewhere Patsy Cline is smiling. This is so gorgeous. A great tribute to an iconic song. And, no, Home Free was never barbershop.

This song is from 1961. Rich chords and progressions that you don't hear any more. They did half step progressions, and it was a sudden key change that threw you.

The most amazing thing is that Austin sings this in the same key as Patsy Cline! His voice is soooo perfect for this song!! His voice is so beautiful!! He is my favorite and really easy on the eyes 👀! 😍😍🔥🔥 Thanks of the reaction!👏👏👏

This was more or less a country song originally, but with a little bit of a pop/jazz added to the country accompaniment style. Here it seems like Home Free has slanted the backup sound to be more like a traditional 50s doo-wop style, which works really well. The original backup style really leaned on jazz/country piano for critical accents. Along with the 50s doo-wop vocal style, they bring in those occasional buttery dissonant chords, which provides the tension you need to move it along. It's a beautiful piece of composition and the execution is soooo smooooth.

Very interesting! I'm not so much one for country music all the time necessarily, but I like what they did with this one. Like you said, giving it a pop/jazzy feel.

This rendition of this Willie Nelson (writer) classic is just a stunner. ALL of the guys were in top form but Austin showed us why he's gaining momentum as being considered an important vocalist.

Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, is a founding member. Home Free has been a cappella with vocal percussion from the start. Never been a barbershop quartet.

They have never done barbershop, but as one, I would absolutely LOVE to hear them do a couple of true barbershop classics + Adam beatboxing to them.

This proves that Home Free really can sing anything. What a group. For every song they have the perfect voice that takes the lead. Just like this song. Austin's voice and the great harmonies of all make this song beautiful.

Whomsoever said they were ever a barbershop quartet is mistaken. The band was formed in 2000 by the beatboxer (Adam Rupp) and his brother Chris as an acapella band. The members have changed since then but apart from Chris leaving to pursue other interests (around 2016), the others have been in it since around 2013.

So beautiful. Loved the black and white film. Loved Austin’s solo and Adam’s soft beatboxing of the wire drumsticks (I think?). Such a good rendition. I’ve never known Home Free to be a barbershop quartet but sometimes they have that quality. They are known for amazing harmonies like here. Good reaction!

I don't really follow Home Free (don't get me wrong, love their voices, it's just not usually my fave style of music), but when I saw it was this song, I had to click! I sang this during my orientation week of college as part of a skit. So many memories! And wow, they did a gorgeous job!! Patsy would be so proud!

Hi Jeffrey, you picked one of my favourite home free songs. It took a while, but this song really really grew on me. I love these 50's vibes it spreads. There voices, the harmonies so clear. And Austin shines here so much....does he ever not? They did perform barber shop and if I remember correctly it was Austin who suggested to do country when they entered the sing off, because there was and is no accapella band to this day that does mainly country music but home free. But they show much variety in their music and that makes them so special. I wish they would come to Europe again. I never seen them live and I really want to. Keep on doing what you do and don't forget Tommy 😊😊😊

Our guys NEVER disappoint!!! Every cover song they do they take to the next level and make their own and most of their originals should be nominated for Grammys or CMAs even if they aren't played on the radio (which they should be). And if you didn't know they were an a capella group you'd never know there wasn't full band playing along. Great reaction!

Not barber shop but they have done it as part of skits they used to do. You see a Home Free was a music concert as well as a comedy performance. They used to do skits in their shows and one had them singing an old barber shop song. So they know how to do it and will use it in songs when the song calls for it.

Great reactions. I have just recently found you and enjoy. Home Free is special. Have been to 7 live shows and they are incredible on stage, talent, music, hilarious, fun interaction with the audience. Like one big party! You leave smiling for hours and happy! I love this classic done by HF so much. Austin is my favorite mostly because he is able to do just about anything with his voice. Have you watched their Unchained Melody? That's another great old classic they killed. Or how about their harmonies on End of the Road (Boyz II Men cover). Just many they make great and love their latest album with all of the originals Tim and Austin wrote. Take care.
