RockStock Flat Patch Cables

RockStock is launching their new low-profile patch cables, and sent me a handful of them to test out and review. The cables I'm using in this video were provided to me by RockStock, and they organized a giveaway which has now ended, but that's as far as any sponsorship goes. Any thoughts expressed here are my own.
I do like the cables - they're exceptionally flat, more so than any of the others I compared them to, and I think they removed quite a bit of noise from my rig. I'm definitely planning to keep using them after this.

Those cables look great, I could definitely use a few. Pancakes work OK, but these will be way better. I'll have to pick some up!

Yeah they’re comparable in width to my Hosa pancake cables but much quieter. Working great so far 👍🏻

Thanks for the video, beyond helpful because I just replaced my other patch cables w/ these last week. They look great and so low profile. Now to address the elephant in the room; there was, to me, a dramatic loss in high-end dynamics of the Rock Stock ones in the comparisons. Listened 3 time with different headphone just in case. Since I have these now, that difference does concern me. Well, time for meto do what you did here. Where these cables "shine" is how your board looks & feels clean, way less cramped & suddenly all you see are your pedals. The patch profile just looks so good on the board. Did you experience the same or was it an issue at all? Thx.

I didn’t hear a difference in the EQ profile of the signal at all, as far as I can remember. I did think they cut down on noise but that’s the only difference I noticed.

Huh. I've also always been skeptical of the idea cable affect tone, but... those new cables kinda sound better to me?

ME TOO. Above a certain quality level (like, as long as they aren't broken or crackly or something) I never believed in the difference, but after shooting this I bought another two packs and wired up my whole board with them. Go figure.
