I rescued a beautiful girl who had been locked in a cage for the first year of her life with children poking her through the bars. I had the honor of being her person for 12 years before she passed. It was a long process getting her to trust people, but so worth the effort

He is so unbelievably handsome. Friday a female husky showed up on our doorsteps. She immediately became attached to my 12 year old nephew. It's been 5 days and it looks like our rescue pittie now has a sister 😆 *We've called around, posted on social media, etc - No one has come to claim her, it looks like she may have been used for puppies then dumped. I adopted a dog many years ago who was in comparable condition. She was a year old and she'd spent her whole life chained to a post year round in someone's backyard without access to foor and water. She'd been abused and was terrified of EVERYTHING. With love, patience, and socialization she became a happy, beautiful girl who was so sweet and full of life. If you ever consider adopting you, please understand that you are meeting them in a stressful environment and they likely have trauma that can heal with love and time. It's amazing how much they can transform if you give them a chance.

I have been rescuing for 60+ years. Last month l rescued a 1&1/2 year old chihuahua/terrier. Her fur was very ruff, bald in some areas and skinny. She was very scared.In the month l have had her ,she as gain some weight. Her fur is softer and growing back. She is now playing with my cat and other dog. She is not so clingy and she is not barking (she barked at people because she was scared)as much at people who come over. It amazes me how love can change animal that are rescued. Keep up your good work. I wish more people would willing to help rescue. I have done rescuing and taking care of animal out of my own pocket. Be a Vet Tech l can do a lot of the care myself. I almost couldn’t watch this video, because it’s hard for me to fathom the cruelty that some animals endure. Sometimes I think my soul is too fragile for this cruel world. He is so timid and afraid of everything! This poor baby what he must have been through,God love him! I have the faith now that he has been rescued and taken to the Asher house the other dogs ,Lee will bring this pup around real quick! Lee certainly has a gift with dogs! You can see in his eyes how grateful he is. He wants to run with the other dogs, he is just fearful he will be yanked away from them. Rocky will continue to improve with the pack's help. I think the most amazing part is when he felt unsure of something, he came straight to you Lee. He sought you out and went to you for safety and comfort. It was beautiful and made me cry, it was just so damn perfect.
