Maybe she's a Chiweenie - Chihuahua Dachshund (Weiner dog mix)? Red smooth coat Doxie mix maybe.
@1teammom725 ай бұрын
Rocky she is a dachshund mixed with what looks to be a terrier of some kind. I’m almost wondering if she’s not mixed with a poodle. I know someone will say she know curly hair but anyone should know that when breeds mix you can’t always guarantee what will show in the puppies. But I know what doesn’t match a dachshund: legs are too long, ears are too short, nose is really too short and a little thicker than most and actually her paws aren’t big enough (IMO). However, she has the perfect demeanor for a dachshund and the limited eye contact is definite trait when they are young. She has definitely been in a bad situation and needs a loving secure environment. Also whoever adopts her needs to have some knowledge of dachshunds because of the issues with back problems and making sure they are careful of how she is lifted and carried.

It's so wonderful to see vets like that! My dog has an anxiety disorder so vet visits are usually not easy, but last time we went for his blood tests, the vet went completely on his pace; asked if it would be easier to inject anesthesia on the table or on the floor, advised me to hold him so that he can see the "escape route" (the door) and just stayed relaxed and talked to me, mostly ignoring him. It was so great to see how little hassle that first injection can be and now I, too, know what to advocate for the next time we visit.

@@wholeshebang1 An "indoor dog" spends most of his or her time indoors... as opposed to a dog who is tied up or running around a fenced yard all day. Rocky, you don’t talk too much. I think the sound of your voice talking to us is soothing without too much attention to the scared dog. It’s important in making the dogs feel safer.

I've worked in rescue for years; kept some of them for myself. One girl, RosieVi the Shy, a puppymill breeder girl, took 2-1/2 years before she would take anything from my hand. We had her for nine years and she eventually came to trust us, but yes, it took years and patience (and the help of our other dogs).

We have a dog that we rescued from a riverbank. Almost two years ago. We were on a boat heading downriver from the city of Norwich (UK). He was howling and very thin. With the help of a couple of kayakers we got the dog onto our boat. We got in touch with the local dog rescue service and handed him over (reluctantly…he seemed a gentle soul especially considering the circumstances). Anyway, no one claimed him. He was chipped, but the chip was still registered with the breeder. So we adopted him. The best thing we’ve done. Our collie took him under her wing. She tries to boss him around (he’s a lot bigger than she is!) but he’s not really phased by anything…except my husband and our collie both going out without him. We called him Pozzick, as that’s the way the Norfolk locals pronounce the place that we found him (Postwick).

I started crying when I saw her. She could be my Darby's sister. I rescued him from a shelter. He passed a few years back. 💔 I wanted to get another pocket pup to help with my PTSD but God needed me to rescue a chocolate Lab (big dog) that was used as a puppy mill then thrown away. She wanted to be my service dog and started helping me walk. We are put where we're needed. 🙏🏼🕊️💜

I just wanted to let you know that my health has not been the best as of late and because my dog Misty just died Memorial Day and we were together for 11 1/5 years! Now the reason I even mentioned my health is because I have been on the phone with my veterans health providers and every time that I go to the doctors or talk to them on the phone I always try to tell everyone about Sitting With dogs, I happen to think the world of you Rocky and your lovely wife Kelly! You guys must be the hardest working people in the world!

I'm sorry for your loss. We have all been there. I found the best way to honor a lost pet is to rescue another and give them the beautiful loving home. And they can help heal your broken heart from your loss. If you're not ready to adopt the shelters need as many fosters as they can get. my two rescue kitties saved me from a broken heart when I lost two suddenly. They never replace your lost pet but your heart grows.

My four legged love came as a rescue. It took two years of working with her to potty train her and for her to not have shaking anxiety attacks. She instantly connected to me then to one of my grandsons and then my son but that took a long time but I’m happy to say after 3 1/2 years she is enjoying life and people. She had lots of issues with other animals but she enjoys sharing her home with our two cats. I love her so much and am so privileged to have her in my life.

This baby looks so much like a baby I adopted 15+ years ago, but it only took a few months for Wolfgang to be as sweet, loving and trusting as my other Dachshund. Wolfie was the best friend that Moose and I could have had. He was funny and playful, and he was my companion and snugglebunny for 13 years. Don't be afraid to adopt a dog that looks like this. They react so well and so quickly to patience and love. Would love to have him, but I am in NC. God bless you, Rocky, for the work you do!!

I suffered from ptsd, and I just see myself when i see those dogs being frozen, hoping to be transparent and hoping you won't see them and walk away. Then people give you some love, a nice word, a hug, and you soften slowly, ... it basically brings you back to the living world, may you be a dog or a human. So thank you, the love you give to these dogs also help the humans watching your videos.

I want to say she looked sad and confused but better off there in a cage then getting dumped. The group that let her out may have been wanting to help her but could use some training before they own a dog. I am glad she was found. I live in Palmdale CA. and daily see dogs that are dumped its just awful. So it could have been much worse for this little one. Very beautiful and a strong Dachshund mindset. Very intelligent. Thanks for all your hard work . My best to you Sylvie

I know a lot of people are against any use of AI (and I'm a writer, so training AI on copyrighted content without permission is a big no-no for me) but the filter you put on your microphone audio in these videos is fantastic and is probably what makes them so calming to watch, because your commentary is so clear and there isn't so much background noise. I just wanted to say I appreciate that extra effort, I'm sure it adds a bunch of work to your editing process but it's worth every minute.

Rocky, Even if Silvy was causing problems with the other dogs, you do NOT just leave your dog outside in a crate and walk away. There are people that would help you. By the way....I think your voice is comforting to the dogs. They are scared because they have been abandoned. Maybe they even think that it's their fault. Keep talking. I really think the dogs like it. They feel loved. ❤🐾
