If you think Rod Morgenstein is an " average " drummer, you either have no clue what you are talking about or are too young to know any better. IDK where you were in the late 70's and 80's but there was NO ONE playing like Rod plays... He was an inspiration and influenced all the greats of today and the past. But as with many musicians now in their later years, they may have lost a few steps, and may not be what they once were, especially when playing the complicated progressive music that he does... But, I assure you even in his late 60's he is NOT an " average " drummer...
