Thanks very helpful to see best uses for these rods. I just hit dx744, it’s light!

Excellent series. No you don't have a problem or maybe we both do. I too have a love for the 7'4" and 7'5" rods for most of my bottom contact applications. You hit the button on the tip action on Dobyns also. I think it allows fish to hold on a second longer also.
@HellaBass4 жыл бұрын
Thnx Bud! 7'3" are okay too 😂

Would you still recommend the rods in the Kaden and champion xp line? Looking to get into dobyns. I have the sam sobi rods and I want to get a few more.
@HellaBass2 жыл бұрын
Justin Yes, both good lines. Kadens will be similar action to your Sobi rods. Gary Dobyns will actually be on my livestream tomorrow night

Great vid! How many total combos do you have? I know you said 30-40, but what's the split between spinning and casting?
@HellaBass4 жыл бұрын
I believe I have 7 Spinning rods for bass, the rest are casting setups. You can check out part 1 to see all the spinning rods. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXrYdoKbnL-Ierc

Do you notice a difference in the balance with the split grip rods and full cork? Been looking at a champion hp 745 split and champion xp 744 split and heard some reviews saying the split grips were tip heavy. Thanks and awesome channel !
@HellaBass4 жыл бұрын
Not at all. I have not owned the XP744, but I have owned the HP 743, 744, & 745 in split and full, all super sensitive & well balance. Thnx for watching Jen!

Dude loved this series of videos. Me and my fishing buddy also use a ton of Dobyns/Shimano/Daiwa gear. It’s good to hear your application, it helps me plan my set up. For your braid set ups, have the leader to braid knot ever damaged your guides? I had a guide get smashed on my 734 which I used a Ton. Not sure if it was the fault of the FG knot.
@HellaBass4 жыл бұрын
I can't say that I've felt the fluoro knot has damaged my guides. It's usually been from something else I did on accident. Appreciate the feedback

I want to order a sierra spinning rod for small swimbaits like a kietech 3.8 and weightless senkos. Should I get a medium 2 or 3 power? Do you think a medium light would be better? I'm sorry if you've answered this question a thousand times
@HellaBass3 жыл бұрын
For 3.8" and senko I would go 3 power, for 2.8", neds and drop shot I would do 2 power

Great series! I plan on getting some Fury’s. If you had to select three rods to span all needs, which three would you suggest?
@HellaBass4 жыл бұрын
Tough Call! I would say a 703SF, 733C/734C and a 735C
@Edimus74 жыл бұрын
HellaBass thanks. If I wanted to go 7 foot max and deciding between the 703C and 704C which would you say best goes with other two? Plan on getting the 7o4SF and 705C, still deciding between 703C and 704C for third one.
@HellaBass4 жыл бұрын
@@Edimus7 if you want that rod to do crankbaits, jerkbaits and topwaters, I would say 703, if you want it more for texas rigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits etc, 704

@@HellaBass technique recommendations for it? Thinking of using it mostly for 3/8 swinging swim jig and trailer, either swimming it or dragging it.
@HellaBass2 жыл бұрын
I have been using for 6" Magdraft, other small swimbaits, chatterbaits, light A-rigs Its definitely a little more beefy than the XP734c

Why don't you use any rods under 7'3"?
@HellaBass4 жыл бұрын
I do have a few, but they are situational, longer rods give more casting distance, more hook setting power, better control of the fish, overall better efficiency.
