This is amazing - had no idea all this stuff was so put together with the music. He's a legend, so sad I never got to see him live.

Half the man's comedy was in his voice, half in his mannerisms and half in his delivery. Yeah, it's three halves but he was just that gifted. Thank you for all the laughs, Mr. Dangerfield.

To hear (most of) these cues in action, listen to the Rappin Rodney album.

Mr Meticulous. Ahh man, I miss Rodney so much. I'm well into my mid 60s and I thank God for these wonderful youtube clips. This particular one of Rodneyʼs rehearsals goes to demonstrate just how dedicated to his own touring stage show he was. R.I.P Saint Rodney of Dangerfield

Interesting video. Shows how he wanted his shows were going to work. A real perfectionist that became a comedy legend.

Wow that seemed pretty complicated! I wonder how many times the band messed it up?

Many of his performances seemed to have a lot of off-the -cuff jokes, this shows us how intricately crafted.

I think he is saying letter B? That tune sounds like the bass line to Tequila. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🥸🥸🥸🥸🥸🥸😱😱😱😱😱😱👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀😘😘😘😘😘😘💕💕🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

He's coded the music pieces with letters. That way he can switch out the songs without re-recording these instructions. The band gets the letter coded music charts along with Rodney's stage direction tape. I bet that the band got it right nearly every performance. If you've ever been around union musicians, they know their shit. I had the privilege of watching a commercial recording session from the control booth. The band did six commercial spots in a half hour. All from charts, all performed in one take each, no practice, no mistakes, it was amazing to witness.

John. Me being a musician, I understand the letter idea. But the reason I mentioned letter B is because when he says it each time, it actually, the first time I thought it said, he said, let it be. So I thought he was quoting a Beatles song. So I just mentioned, I think he said, Letter B, because that's the way musicians communicate. with Alphabets, right?
