As a Sicilian guy I want to add that the Autodromo di Pergusa was first featured in the GTR series by SimBin being part of the FIA GT Championship calendar in those years (2003-2004). In fact many former members of SimBin then formed Slightly Mad Studios and they carried on many 3D models from the old GTR games to NFS Shift and Shift 2 Unleashed. The version featured in Shift 2 is a slightly modified version of the 3D model originally featured in the GTR series with lowered kerbs, some new trackside objects, different vegetation and revised textures, it even features the wrong (for 2011) old Proserpina chicane that was modified and made it slower in 2005. Other curiosity: from 1962 to 1965 this track hosted a non-championship F1 GP called Mediterranean Grand Prix.

On the subject of Toca 3, lots of good options there, particularly from the Supercars Series and British touring cars. As well as my favourite weird street circuit, the Norisring. Automobilista also has some good deep cuts, particularly in South America (which, I mean, it has licenses from a couple Brazilian racing series so that makes sense) The Ride series grabbed a few that I think aren't even super-well-known for motorcycle racing. First one has Almeira and Potrero de los Funes, second added Vallelunga and the North West 200, 3 added Casteletto, Franciacorta, Imatra, Macau, Okayama and Billown, 4 added Mosport, VIR, the Utah Motorsports Campus and Dundrod, 5 added Almeria and Ricardo Toro. And now, a partial list of tracks that haven't been in anything major to my knowledge but I'd love to see in something: Motorland Aragon, Kuwait Motor Town, the Slovakia Ring, Barber Motorsport Park, Paul Armagnac, Jarama, the Toronto Indy street circuit (I am from Toronto and therefore biased), Inje Speedium, the Nashville street circuit, Pau, Vila Real, Highlands Motorsport Park, the Townsville street circuit, Calder Park, the Salzburgring, Trois-Rivieres, Mandalika, Arctic Circle, the Gotland Ring, Chang, the St. Petersburg (Florida) street circuit, Navarra, Montjuïc Charade, Pescara, Targa Florio, Bilster Berg

Ruapuna Local here to give some added insight to the use of the track. It currently is part of the Formula Regional Oceania calendar (fka Toyota Racing Series) and does find continued use in National series such as NZ Formula Ford, New Zealand GT86 Series, South Island Endurance Series, and Mazda RX8 Series. The track has hosted drivers such as Lance Stroll, Lando Norris, Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson when they partook in the Toyota Racing Series/Formula Regional Oceania on their path up to Formula 1, as the TRS is one of the few European "Winter Series" that pays out solid Super License points for the winners The track on main day-to-day operating is functionally for club days and "test-and-tune" days, but does feature Drift days, a slot on the D1NZ series, as well as a few other more niche local series. It did also feature as part of the Trans-Tasman Trans-Am challenge this year pitting 8 Australian TA2 drivers against 8 New Zealand TA2 drivers. Ruapuna is also respected quite highly by big NZ Motorsport stars, including 3x Supercars Champion and current NASCAR Xfinity Driver Shane van Gisbergen saying it would have been his pick for the Supercars series return to New Zealand. The track itself is wildly out-dated facilities wise however, with very little actual permanent garages.

Apart from Cleveland's inclusion in Automobilista 2 i can't think of any airport track in any modern racing game, which is an absolute shame as late eighties/early nineties DTM, late nineties super touring cars and of course, historic grand prix cars took to the airstrips and taxiways a lot! Airport tracks i'd love to see represented in racing games would be: Diepholz, Lahr, Galeão, Edmonton (pre-2011), Linden Airport, Sebring (pre-1987), Silverstone (pre-1950), Zweibrücken, a return to Meigs Field and just to take a mickey a bit, Zeltweg.

Great video, there are many videos of obscure cars in games but not too many people talk about tracks. To add to the Prostreet tracks, it had an update (or DLC, don't exactly remember) that added the Porsche Leipzig test track with many layouts. One game with an interesting track list I want to mention is Racing Battle C1 Grand Prix from Genki, which took the TXR series to closed circuits. It has a few known race tracks (Suzuka, Tsukuba, TI Aida) and of course, it being a Genki game, it features the Tokyo C1 and Osaka Route 1 loops with pit lanes added, which is pretty cool. There is one rare track, Nikko Circuit, which is a pretty well known track in the drifting scene, but hasn't appeared in many games. The only other game with that track I can think of is the D1GP game for PS2.

Ah, Leipzig test course. It's on Real Racing 3 as well... And of course tons of Japanese race tracks that deserve mention despite only appearing on Japan-only games: Mine, Sendai, and Tokachi. It does still have one of the most popular club racing scenes in the UK, with its own championships for saloons, hatches, GTs and Formula Ford 1600s.

Would love to see Mondello be put back in the spotlight like it was during Ireland's Celtic Tiger period where everyone had money to burn on things like race cars. Even driving it on Assetto Corsa you can tell if it was widened with a bit more runoff it could easily host GT racing or even F3.
