i think his head being still through contact, and keeping his eyes on the contact point after ball contact, is what really makes his shots stand out. next to the over all kinetic chain making it look extremely easy.

The girl plays pretty good. She has no problems with any of Rogers shots. I know its just a bit of casual warm up hitting, but you can see shes very comfortable on the court.
@pierdomenicosommati4432 күн бұрын
I would be curious to see if she would've be comfortable if Roger unleashed his shots😅 (actually, they cut after he hits a strong backhand very early, against which the player on the right looks in deep troubles)

Federer is the greatest player ever. His strokes are sublime. You can tell he holds back a few gears when hitting to the female player. The string sound tells the story. When hitting to the male he let's fly but even then he's not at full strength. Amazing mental and physical dexterity.

Look at how low that slice stays. That is something to consider when someone asks why players like Dimitrov and Dan Evans use it. If they're able to consistently keep it that low and uncomfortable, then it is understandable why they keep doing it. It can be taxing to keep going that low to try to hit quality shots. How often are players hitting such a low ball today?
