Double Down News… Assange was not a journalist but a publisher one that only had a history of hacking not journalism… if you received information that on said release would result in the torture and deaths of innocent civilians would you publish it and claim you aren’t responsible for said deaths? The publisher had the ability to hide the names of innocents but they did not as so they are dead. (I am excluding the war crimes cause you clearly don’t give a dam about them given the person that’s speaking and the war crimes and thousands of deaths they have excused over the years… unless DDN also agrees that Assad and Putin governments haven’t been slaughtering civilians and that DDN thinks that genocide has not been caused by those two tyrants)

Brigadier General Robert Carr testified there was not one example of lost life due to Wikileaks or Julian Assange. If you're going to state blatantly false information , I for one find it hard to attach any gravitas to anything you say. You're a clown sir and appear to be guilty of following the worm.

What we have is a tyrannical government that is funded by corporations that sway there votes. It's a system that the founding fathers created in all there wisdom. The youngest being 18 years old. You are right, but I am happy because at least he is out. I am grateful for those who worked so hard to achieve even this much. I am grateful for his wife and his family. They gave him strength to survive this awful, unjust ordeal. Nobody can give him back the years he lost, the mental torture he endured, the love and devotion from those who understand his sacrifice can ease it. I wish, in the future, we create a law to protect journalists and we name the law after him. We owe him that.

This happened on my birthday and for me it was the best present I could ever receive. I cried tears of joy that finally he was free, free from the tyranny of the West! 1901 days in solitary confinement for telling the truth, it was a crime against humanity and even when the UN told the UK what they were doing was wrong, the UK ignored it. What is the point of being signed up to all these international regulatory agencies if you aren't going to follow the rules!

Solidarity to all the activists who helped make the freedom of Julian Assange finally actually happen. Now we must make sure that those who took those extra steps to ensure Assange remained in jail as long as possible must be punished appropriately.

I wouldn't want to be stopping at any "American Island" . Sign it in Australia. I wouldn't trust the Americans (on anything) for a second.

Sad, but very true...America is now probably the most dangerous nation to real peace on this planet. I once thought they led the world for all the right things, not anymore.

The fact that he is free doesn't make his imprisonment and suffering a bit less unforgivable. This shouldn't be forgotten nor forgiving.

I'm very happy Julian is alive, well and will soon be walking free. With his release he walks into a new life of being an advocate for the freedom of the press, though at an unbelievably high cost Julian has won and taken victory for all of us.
