No one plays as good as Jeff Beck. Living or dead. Always pushing the guitar to its limits while others is age rest on their laurels. Buddy Guy is one of the only exceptions. Just brilliant !

Seen both of them live. BG five times, and JB twice. I can't disagree with you. I must say though, that in the past 15 years, Gilmour has not only become noticeably more interpretive with his own older work, but has also produced some new and unique gems on his last two solo albums. I love the styles, tones, and mastery of both Gilmour AND Beck.
