Movie mistake; At the end of Rogue 1, the rebel ship takes off at light speed and start of A New Hope, Vader's Star Destroyer is in hot pursuit. However, we learn in The Last Jedi that the technology to follow a starship through light speed had not yet been invented till far after Vader's death.

This is a terrible edit that screws the continuity up. When Vader is killing all those guys at the end of RO he is not on the Star Destroyer - he is on the Rebellion ship that the blockade runner detaches from. Then all of a sudden it shows him on the Star Destroyer? This misses a big chunk of Vader getting off the Rebel ship and then back onto the shuttle and then onto a star destroyer in order to give chase. Nice idea but makes for even more continuity problems than there already were.

The two films dovetail together like a Hummer hitting a Prius. Vader is a completely different guy from the movies even thought they happen one after the other. Vader would have come through first continuing his rage rampage. Suddenly he's all let the grunts do the dirty work and then come in and survey the damage... It just feels weird.

dude first off you did a great job but the only thing I could say is if I recall in the movie they jumped to hyper speed if you want to make this cannon you should not add in reverse scene's using it for something else and you should not add fx to alter the movie. I recommend leaving it how it ended then show the begging of the other movie unless you could somehow find the empire chasing after them or something

This is out of character for Vader. In A New Hope, Vader sent the storm troopers in to fight the crew of the Tantive V. He didn't go in himself until after the storm troopers seized control of the ship. In Rogue One which is suppose to be a prequel, Vader goes in himself. Furthermore, he doesn't demonstrate any strategy or skill, just swings the light saber around aimlessly like anyone else could have done.
