I worked at a zoo for year or so. Wombats have to be one of the most ridiculously cute animals ever. We did a fair bit of crawling on our hands and knees because the babies would get scared or were playing....the hide under our bodies. They'd also do their "I'm starving, please feed me" shtick....good memories

I like how he said "reptile rescue" rather than "reptile removal." Also the lullaby music as they took the anesthetized wombat out of the bag.

I spent the first 30 years of my life in the South and Southwest…my father always said most people walk by more poisonous snakes then they see…in other words watch where you are going and the snakes will be happy to leave you alone.

Those captured wombats never ran for cover, just sat there, and didn't seem to fight being handled to be placed inside the sack. Seems like strange behavior for a wild animal. They sure are stinkin' cute, though.
@amylarson39583 жыл бұрын
That's their nature. The babies run and hide under momma, or whatever "cave" they can find. (Like people crawling around on their hands and knees(
