This was my first bike and gosh it was a lot of fun !! I liked the fact that despite being a small cc it is equiped with some high quality components and gears that you could find on bigger cc bikes, still being budget friendly. As you said Rok, it doesn't feel like a cheap bike but more like a premium one because of all the little details and attention put in that bike. The machine is light and precise, making it easy to handle, and this mono is definitely alive. I miss that bike.

Why did u switch to something else? Im thinking about buying it (first bike) 😁
@alexandren.71623 жыл бұрын
@@thebelgianbeliever2951 I got to move abroad for buisness. Otherwise I would have kept it :D To be honest this is by far the best first bike you could grab in my opinion. I was riding it everyday for 3 years and always got the same smile. I've tried a bunch of bikes and honestly i would still recommand this one as starter (yes, over a MT07). Also i found it really well balanced for a mono with low vibration and you could go down to 3K rpm without it suffocating. The light weight, handling, makes it really good in order to practise and improve your riding skills. You can ride it gently in the city as well as rev it outside. It is a pretty versatile bike. There are still and always some drawbacks of course so i would recommand you to go to KTM and ask for a ride test to find out if you like it or not :) I could also give you more details about my experience if needed. Let me know guys !

@@alexandren.7162 how was it on the highway?
@alexandren.71623 жыл бұрын
@@meep704 It is fine on the highway. In terms of speed the bike goes up to 165km/h so it's enough. However, due to the lack of wind protection and that it is a 400cc mono i would not recommend to spend your day on the highway. I mean, it can do it, but it is not designed for it. If you plan on traveling long distance using the highway for multiple hours i wouldn't suggest you that bike. If you just want to take the highway from time to time, for a few hours (2-3h) then it's ok ! But that's only my opinion. Maybe you can check on forums for people doing long distance travel with it. Also, i found that the bike wasn't consumming much. Usualy i was doing 200km, (-25 ; +25 depending on my riding). Hope it helps you !

I just recently bought this bike as I'm a beginner and the bike is A2 compliant. I tried both the MT 03 and the BMW G310R and this was by far the best and most fun out of them. I really enjoy the handling, power and brakes. For such a light machine it's very impressive. Fun in the corners, and easy to manage in the city as well. in terms of reliability I have 2000km on the bike and 0 issues. (I know 2000km isn't anything crazy but so far so good)

It’s like a chameleon, absolutely beautiful bike. I’m currentlyriding a 790 duke but i may buy a 390 in the future as a second bike just to have some fun with it 🙏🏼

I got a 2020 DUKE 390.....motor blew in half at 4600 miles....took many months to get a replacement motor....they did "pause" my warranty while it was sitting at the dealer, awaiting a decision...had to threaten to get an attorney, and about 19 days or so later, I had a new motor....no charge....others have had that issue with the top/bottom of the motor come in half, and only one or two, at WOT, AKA, full throttle....mine happened in 4th at 40-42 MPH....I'd never found the rev limiter....I just don't try to blow stuff up....with that said....it is a FUN bike....really....ballsy, but not too ballsy....okay for the freeway, but not more than 15-20 minutes at 70/75/80 MPH, depending on where you are here in the USA...good commuter bike....metro freeways in big cities to blaze thru traffic.....but where this little shit shines....and I mean big time.....is 2-lane blacktops....with twisties....and some straights....I have carved up a few roads in SW Montana in the little DUKE....the ABS and the display is a big thumbs up, and the ABS has saved my butt a few times.....my 1100 Sabre Cruiser is not so forgiving...but is better for trips/freeway cruisin'...I can ride it for 2-3 hours...and not be tired.....an hour or so on the DUKE, and I'm kinda spent (older guy here, just sayin")....but it's damned fun in town....think of it as a muscle car from the late 60's/early 70's, on 2 wheels....plenty of squirt off a light for most....it ain't a liter bike, or an R6...but it's got some snort....glad I have both bikes.....but I'd be leary of warranty service from KTM....especially after waiting for MONTHS and months to get a replacement motor....I don't do the trick ridin' stuff, but I did spend some time on dirt bikes, as a teen, and an 1100ES in the mid-80's....just for the sheer speed factor....the DUKE 390 is okay for satisfyin' that kwick off the line go for it deal....would like to see the new 490 DUKE here in the states....Benelli 302S is also a good bike, as is the z400...have ridden both, and are more freeway friendly, and more comfy for a longer ride I think...and not as much vibration at hiway speeds....but they are 2-cyl's, and the DUKE 390 is a thumper, or single cylinder...but I have gotten 56-70 MPG ridin' the little DUKE....70.7 MPG I think is the best I have gotten...and that's hiway for 15-20, then twistie 2-lane roads...with some 45/50/55-60 MPH max zones, and rightfully so...but some 70 stints....mine seems to like 70-72 MPH....like it's enough for it, but not...excessive....for a single...it's at about 7000-7200/7300 RPM...I think 6th gear is like 0.9 something to One...or right at 1 to 1....and 91 octane fuel is 4.70 to 5.00 per gallon right now....so in a couple of weeks, I'll be ridin' my bikes a lot more (mid-spring in MT right now)...so the 50-70 MPG will be nice...
