The new revelations from Bobbie Brown about what happened to Jani make his passing even more tragic. He was an amazing song writer and singer. Sadly more people know him for Cherry Pie and not the deeper songs like Andy Warhol Was Right, Chameleon, Bitter Pill, April 2031, All My Bridges Are Burning, Let it rain or Stronger now. I miss his song writing and hope he was finally able to find the peace he seemed unable to find here.

Jani regretted writing Cherry Pie & being remembered as the "Cherry Pie Guy". Jani, if you're reading all these comments ( as well as on SO MANY other videos of yours) - then you can rest easy that that is FAR from what you are remembered for. Your legacy is the envy of your peers. RIP Mr. Song & Dance Man. You're songwriting talent & personality are extremely missed. Thank you for your songs & memories. 🤘

I have never heard of Jani's father does any one know their story? We AL know what his charity is ever wonder why? His mother seemed so sweet n wonderful I could tell how much Jani loved her but I can help but wonder about his father. I've watched many of his interviews n never once did he speak of his old man. Talk to me. "Rebecca"

I met him once back in 1995. they came and played a benefit show in my town. They did a meet and greet at the cd store at the mall. So I went and met them , afterwards I was out side and a limo pulled up and they ran out and jumped in ( except Jani ) and the limo drove off . Jani looked at me and said " I'm not into that limo shit. " and and he laughed. And we talked for bout 10 minutes until this pos car pulled up and he said heres my ride .. And then inbited me to have a few drinks with him .. So I went got to hang out with him for an hour or so . extremely nice and funny guy

I thought to myself the other day about Jani and yeah I feel JL was like family, a BIG BROTHER when I got DRFSR off the press!) My music in those times and along my journey, has been really my only play. Life is and can be SO LONELY, BUT without the inspirations, idols, heroes and influences, I don't think I'd made it through, somehow!)***

LYRICS: I held you for a moment in my hands The moment with you slipped away like sand Through my fingers now In front of me a choice I have to make To carry on or simply fade away I lose you either way I'd like to say that it was easy, it was hard To say goodbye, I thought that I would die Letting go of you, was so hard to do And I thought that it would kill me but I made It through somehow, and I'm so much stronger now I gave to you my love and my respect But I could never make you love me back I denied it so I grew bitter watching you grow cold My life became your prison, took it's toll I decided Like a bird that's trapped Inside a gilded cage It's hard to set it free Hurts to watch it Fly away Letting go of you, was so hard to do And I thought that it would kill me but I made It through somehow, and I'm so much stronger now So much stronger now Letting go of you, was so hard to do And I thought that it would kill me but I made It through somehow, and I'm so much stronger now Oh I'm so much stronger now Yes I'm so much stronger now

Jamie's music was so much stronger than anything warrant ever did all the great things that he wrote. They wouldn't record most of the time. It was very commercialized. He was a personal friend as well as other band members. My husband used to bring his go card out for them to ride whenever they were in California close to where we lived.

Warrant was one of my favorite bands back in the day. Never knew this song existed till I saw its video recently. I knew of their cd Ultraphobic but had only listened to Family Picnic since I (for whatever reason) didn't buy the cd even though I had bought their first 3. But I know it now. Its a beautiful song that resonates with alot of people. I just wished it had come out during their heyday cuz it has the potential to be one of Warrant's signature songs just like Heaven and Cherry Pie. Let It Rain off of Dog Eat Dog should be another one.
