One of the greatest voices in musical theatre history. Not to mention the 1960 Eugene Ormandy recording of Carmina Burana singing the baritone parts with great depth, power, and richness. Then later in life he turned in splendid character acting performances in films. Notably in the movie Fargo. Bravo, Harve. RIP.

I cry every time I see this. Folks you will never ever see the likes of this movie n it's kind ever again. The talent these performers had in old Hollywood was magical n sheer brilliance. I say though thank god for film. It's so sad that this era in time is gone. There is no one today that can even come close to this magnitude of talent in all these films of that era. No one tap dances anymore, actors today stink n they make millions. RIP all these god given talented souls. RIP

I adore Harve Presnell's looks, and singing, in this movie, as everyone else says, but I also ADORE his acting. It's darling. It is very, very good. His nuances of character and his devotion to the importance of the role make every expression of his, every movement, fascinating. Such a good actor, and superb singing voice. I think Molly and Johnny's relationship and situations together are the most romantic I remember seeing, in the movies.
