Hi Glenn, thank you for a great video. I also use my Juno-X with Cubase 12 Pro and currently have it configured as an external midi instrument. One thing I have created for Cubase is the patch script file which lists all 4000+ patch sounds of the Juno-X within Cubase. The patches are arranged by instrument model and I have also included a category e.g., BAS, PAD, STR, SFX etc so when using the filter feature in Cubase it only displays patches of interest. If you or any of your followers are interested in a copy please let me know?

hi Glenn! great tutorial, what about i-arpeggio? can we trigger that thru cubase? or what is best way to get that into cubase track? thanks!
@GlennMainMusic Жыл бұрын
The I-ARP is triggered by touch and how fast you trigger the notes. I believe that if you do this in a daw with quantiZie function , you will loose some of the dynamics that the I-ARP responds to.. I did not try it, but I Will definitely do it to see for myself as well 😃😃😃 Nice man 👍👍
@aceamadeus Жыл бұрын
@@GlennMainMusic HI Glen, we can try and have cubase quantize turned off, so hopefully we can get I-arpeggio 😎... I hope to be able to test out soon! please let me know how it goes for you, thanks always for your valuable time👍😎

Cool :-B Do you know if its possible to connect an ipad, using the Juno-x as a soundcard and midi controller via USB? if as an example i want to use the Korg module?

I am not sure , I did not try that :) But if you do try before me, please let me know 😃😃

Can you use this in a live setting as an audio interface for your computer and use sounds from the Juno x at the same time? That would be great to not have to bring my Scarlett to a live show for my computer.
@GlennMainMusic7 ай бұрын
Yes :) The Juno X is a super audio interface. You can also set a mix between the synth and the computer 😃😃

Great video Glenn! Love the way you showed how to get this set up in the DAW. The template idea is nice because you can use that over and over again when you want to create music in the DAW with the Juno X. Do I have it right that the actual sound is playing back out through the stereo out jacks of the Juno X ?
@GlennMainMusic2 жыл бұрын
👍👍 Thank you :) Yes, the stereo Jacks are the once I’m using for my output 😃👍😃

My friend, I appreciate you so much as a resource! I’ve been loving my Juno X and have programmed full shows with it now. But the only thing I can’t figure out is how to switch between scenes without the machine stopping? I need to build multiple scenes for certain songs and always need to build a dropout between sections because the synth won’t fluidly switch between scenes. Any advice or tips on how to get a tempo lock / fluid switch between scenes? Thank you so much 💕
@GlennMainMusic Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much :) I was sure you could change scenes without any dropouts.. I will check asap 😃

Great explanation Glen, clear! How you have managed the tempo between JunoX and Cubase?
@GlennMainMusic2 жыл бұрын
Thank you :) You can set up the sync options under “Metronome setup” in Cubase. Here you can show Cubase what to send sync to or not. 😃😃😃

is it possible to sequence all the tracks & save them in the Juno... then when you want to record, use USB & just hit play on the Juno, so all the parts could be multitracked at once as audio to the DAW?
@GlennMainMusic7 ай бұрын
Yes, I do believe that is an option to record all over via USB or MiIDI 👍👍

So if you had an audio interface why would a user want to go this route? I have other instruments in different inputs of my audio interface. Is there an advantage? Is this for someone who doesn't have an audio interface? Thanks!
@GlennMainMusic Жыл бұрын
Hello , and Thank you for bringing that question up. I am not using the JUNO X as my sound card when I am working in my studio , but this is a great option if you’re on the road or don’t have other sound card. The cool thing is the built in speakers if you use this as your standalone sound card 😃

How does this work if you have other tracks in your DAW session ? How can you hear the other tracks audio?
@GlennMainMusic2 жыл бұрын
You assign the tracks in your I/O in your DAW. All the tracks Will automatically go out throug the L/R (out 1,2). I am using Cubase, but I guess it’s like this in other daw to.. assign the stereo out to be 1,2 on the Juno 😃
@feldsparsongs23312 жыл бұрын
@@GlennMainMusic Glenn thanks for this. I don’t see anyone else looking at how to integrate the Juno with a DAW! Roland support referred me to this same video! I only have 2 inputs on my UAD Apollo twin interface so if I want to use the Juno as a midi instrument playback I can’t then record say vocals at the same time.
