Another outstanding painting. At first glance it seems kind of a simple subject but don't be fooled, a lot of detail is there. Shadows,dark and light make a painting and you my sir are one of the best I follow. Everytime I watch you I think of your story about your boys wanting answers given at there start of learning and you reply, paint 100 paintings then ask me. I so much understand that now after paint for a little over a year. Thank you

Hello Roland - I would like you to know how appreciative I am of you for making and sharing your tutorials. I learn sooo much from them. I’m not really interested in deserts and dry landscapes but DESPITE this your paintings make, what I consider an unappealing subject, very beautiful - so much so that I’m seriously contemplating painting along with one of your tutorials. I love the way you take the time to explain things very clearly and calmly - your teaching style is very reassuring and relaxing, again making me feel that ‘I can do this too...’. Kindest regards.

That is a very kind and thoughtful response Magdalena. It is my greatest hope that the time it took to film these videos will be helpful to others. Thank you for watching.

Hi Roland. I only discovered you today! This painting evokes such wonderful memories for me, spending time as a youngster on my great-uncle's cattle property. Even though there are no gum trees [haha], it is perfect! [I'm going to try to paint it]. I've also watched your mountain paintings and again, whilst not in Australia, there are such similarities they feel part of me. Thank you sooo much. ♥ Pat [Australia].

Thank you so much! I am going to put this tutorial into practice as soon as I get home. Your sky is lovely and I cant wait to try this. I have been struggling with a sky for the last couple days, I think this is just what I needed to see!

Hi there, I've been looking and it seems there is no longer a Cadmium Red Light. Would Cad Red medium work or would something else be recommended? Thank you!
@rolandleestudio3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that would work. However I have Cad red light from DaVinci and M. Graham.
