This pack makes my purchase in the TD27 that much more comfortable. My biggest issue is many of the kits I've heard just don't do it for me on the toms. Definitely sound so much better here. I can for sure see myself rocking 3 or 4 of these kits regularly. DW Big Maple, Ludwig Thicc, and Phat Pearl stand out for me, but really, they all sound fantastic!

@@grxygxds Can you be a bit more specific when you say "Dynamic Enhancer for each tom"? Which menu is it under and what exactly is it called? You've definitely got me intrigued, I just can't find a setting called "Dynamic Enhancer" :)

I just bout these kits amd am loving them over all too. One question though. Have you noticed on 2 or 3 of the kits that the crash cymbals have a weird effect on them? Almost like they go straight to a wash sound instead of stick sound. I've noticed this on Tama Stars and the Studio Yamaha kit as well as one other.

Great job on that kits, but actually i have one issue, i bought that, but for phat pearl kit the snar is not sound like in the video, its like there is a lot more reverb.

Hey Refeal, hm I think the sound edition hasn't seen any modifications after I had shot the video. I also didn't change any settings for the demo, apart from some slight changes in volumes here and there. The audio was taken from the stereo out of the module without any further mixing/editing, so I cannot really explain why one specific snare might sound so different. Might be a difference in trigger settings/playing style and maybe head/rimshot articulation? Kind regards!

before buying I would like to understand 2 things: the sounds that come out of this video were processed after recording or are they the original sounds as I will hear on my td27? also the sets already include by default tricks like room, reverb, eq, sensitivity or do they change according to how I set them in the module?

Hi Guiseppe, the audio of all videos on the drumtecTV channel is always recorded directly from the sound modules' stereo output without any further mixing/editing, just a little compression/limiting to bring up the overall level. You can change & edit every single instrument on your sound module to your individual liking. Kind regards!

Hey Gabriel, sure all ATV pads/cymbals are fully compatible with the Roland modules: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4uTeaiCjqqrnZI In this demo it was the TD-50, but TD-27 works the same. You'll just need to adjust the trigger settings accordingly. You can find all ATV cymbals over here: www.drum-tec.com/cymbals/atv You'll get a little trigger settings table for the ATV cymbals when purchasing from drum-tec as far as I know :) Kind regards!

Has anyone had an issue of some of the samples not working right? I downloaded these kits and on a few of them the crash sounds like it's not triggering right. I don't think it's my crash pad as it doesn't do it woth stock kits just woth the new downloaded ones. It like it causes the pas to not trigger right

I recommend you save your kits and settings as a backup file.

As long as you still have space on your TD-27, you can ad these kits and they don´t affect your other kits or settings. There should be an explenation video on youtube, maybe even by drum-tec, explaining how to upload the new kits into your module. At least that exists for the TD-17

Yes, you can load these kits without messing up your settings: Choose a spot and go, they are kit-only, not full backups! (There are detailed instructions included in the download and we have a demo video coming up.) We do recommend that you create regular backups, especially before loading anything (even your own backups, not kidding): You sometimes forget that kit X was on spot Y and when it's gone it's gone. I have a TD-17, which made mr like a kid on Christmas. Sheer ecstasy for two days, then boredom. The realization that I only had a couple drums repackaged infinity really bummed me out, I'm a Tom lover and despite having dozens of cool drum sets, there were only about two Tom sounds that didn't suck. I bring this up because I hear the same dull dead Tom sounds on all your sets. "Rock Classics" ? More like modern Country or uninspired, throw away Jazz. Some of the snares are nice though.

Oh my, I have a Roland 506 kit with the TD27, trust me all you have to do is learn to EQ the kits and set them up. That way you don't have to pay someone else to do it. Learn to set the OH mics up and re EQ as they are all set up badly on the standard presets, way too toppy. I have been a sound engineers for decades touring with drummers from Art Blakey to Bill Brueford, there are a lot of not so good sounding samples in this moduel that are only fit for the bin. With a good deal of tweeking there are some awsome kits in it. Just learn how to do it and save some money.

Hi Nick, every drum-tec demo is recorded straight from the stereo output of the sound module directly into the DAW. No further processing (wouldn't really work with a stereo signal anyhow). Please check your trigger settings for dynamics and make sure you use the same monitoring & levels(!) when comparing the audio from this video to your module audio. Any audio signal which is only about 2db louder will generally seem "better" to the human brain, so it is important to ensure you compare/monitor appropriately with the same stereo headphone/monitoring at the exaxct same levels. And in the end, we are probably not the exact same drummers/musicians, so some grooves/fills I play might be different from what you play with the different kits.
