Rich has a serious gift in podcasting. I've been binge watching this channel every night with two episodes and man the content is the best on KZbin in my opinion. Keep it up man! 💪

1:09 - 1:110 Josh just articulated what's in my heart when people ask, "You don't think running's boring?" Spending that time with myself in a conversation between peace, will power, strength and a gliding bounce of inertia is absolutely precious... Damn, and, "I'm tryin to scream and the top of my lungs with my actions rather than preaching through my words."

Thank you for posting this, I'm currently going through almost the same situation. In 2020 I got up to 415 @ 6'3 and then in 2021 I became a type 2 diabetic and I couldn't eat anything before about a month because of how sick I was. I lost about 45lbs in February of 2021 and then I started my weight loss, only to then put back on 25-30 lbs. I've realized that bad food for me especially taco bell is an absolute drug that I use to cope with my past. I really needed this podcast today, because I'm really having a tough time and I'm hoping this can motivate me to actually get out of my head and lose the weight for good this time.

Hey Sage, to avoid cravings, fond yourself something interesting to do, something in which you can fully dive and forget about anything else around you. This will play the role of fasting and will easily get you to the weight you have always strived for. If not, just do fasting in a 16/8 hour window and eat good food. Check out The 4 Hour body or just google the Slow Carb diet. You will change your life and everything about it. Trust me, you will!

Chuck Carroll did it with surgery which isn't in the same category as Josh.

I've been gradually working my way through RR podcasts from the very beginning, and I was just listening to this episode yesterday for the first time!! How bizarre! His story resonated strongly with me, and I'd love to hear what Josh has been up to over the last 8-9yrs if you would consider having him back on the show for a catch up :)

I love that " He was out jiggling "! just 6 years ago I was 10 lbs lighter and running a 7 min mile. Today I struggle to run a consistent 9 min mile. But if this guy can do all he has done starting out "jiggling" I can push myself there again. Thanks for the motivation

Rich. Thanks for re-posting this. I listened to the second interview you had with Josh several years later. I had tried to find this one but hadn’t been able to. I’ve been fighting a damn plateau for the past few weeks on the scale. I’m eating healthy (WFPBNO as best I can) and not cheating. I’ll check the scale everyday and my weight keeps fluctuating one or two pounds in either side of a certain mark. I need to lose a good 50-70 lbs more. I was seeing a pound drop every day or so for a while. This plateau makes me feel stuck. Then I heard Josh say, “It wasn’t about the weight; it was about getting healthy.” That resonated with me. These interviews are really helpful for someone who’s trying to make it. We need to hear from ones who have been there and succeeded. Thank you to both of you!

Love Rich and his show BUT is it just me or is there too much condescension towards the guest for where he's from? Like Rich reaches a little too far to relate to Josh by highlighting really lame cultural stereotypes? Not the way to win middle America over, Team Rich Roll.
@christinemacdonald7393 жыл бұрын
You do realize this was from 2014 and Rich Roll podcasts were new so I'm sure his style was still evolving. As far culteral references more the guest than RR
