No problem but then try to roll up the brush while drying and it freaking would get tangled when I was new 😢 ugh it’s not as easy as it looks but you get better the more you try. You can do sock rolls as well if you don't have rollers AND they are easy to sleep in. Another use for roller sets: The large ones can be used to straighten curly hair with no heat while maintaining the bounce/volume curly hair naturally has! It might not work as well on kinky/coily hair types but for types 2a-3c it works pretty well. You pretty much want to use the largest rollers you can find but it works pretty well.

Screens warm so they are easier on the eyes, what?
@ljevans975 жыл бұрын
Stettafire you can set your screens so they have like a slightly yellowish tone to them, standard screens emit a lot of blue light which is super harsh on the eyes so it’s good for you to have it on that setting particularly before bed! :)
@ljevans975 жыл бұрын
Stettafire I think it’s literally called night time mode or something
@Simplearcticfoxes5 жыл бұрын
@@Stettafire there's an app I use called Twilight with gives the screen a red tint, you can turn it on and off, and it helps with sleeping because blue light keeps you awake. I understand it as something like this (please take what I'm saying here with a grain of salt, it's just how I explain it, I'm not a scientist, nor have I researched this) : The sky is blue during the day and your mind thinks it's day, and if you have blue light coming out of your phone it tricks your mind into it being day. Also blue light is just harsher or stronger.

Yeah, warm colour I understand. But warm screens? Made it sound like when you used to have to wait for an old CRT to heat up:P

Girl yes. Rollers are so awesome. I use them all the time. I have super short hair (like above my chin) and its the only way I can get curly hair. To me, it works better than a curling iron and takes less time. Plus you can let it sit while doing your makeup. Its a win/win!

It was until I was an adult that I realized my grandma knew her stuff, using rollers and pin curls before bed adds much needed volume to my hair as well as curls for my shorter hair to frame my face! My hair doesn't get as oily as fast and once you sleep with rollers regularly your hair begins to just naturally begins to adopt and get accustomed to the curls and volume! You can brush your curls out and not worry about losing your curls like with heated curling rods. It's much more worth it to be patient and just learn how to sleep with the rollers and pins and get a silk or satin bonnet 😊
@renosenpai3 жыл бұрын
But doesn't sleeping with rollers hurts the scalp??💔💔💔
@radioactive_sunflowerz24503 жыл бұрын
@@renosenpai it depends on the rollers, I definitely don't do the hard plastic ones and now that I've cut my hair I do pin curls instead which is more comfortable since it doesn't pull at the scalp as much and more comfortable while sleeping since the curls lie flat while in the pins, so you might have better luck with pins instead of rollers! Rag tie curls also are very comfy (also cheap to do since you just need strips of fabric)

I've been using hot rollers for years. I always wrap a towel around my head so the curls will stay heated longer. Besides I do my makeup while my hair curls. After I take out the rollers I flip my head over and just use my hands to comb through it. Spay a little hair spray on it. Then when I flip my head back up I style it with my fingers and do another little spray of hair spray and I'm good to go. I don't like fussing with it to much because I have very long hair and I do the shampoo and let air dry daily. Besides the products weigh my hair down. It's 2020 now when I first seen this and as soon as I can start going out again I'm going to bleach my hair again and get me some glitterati. 😊👍

I have corse waist length hair & have been using hot rollers since the 7th grade. Plug the rollers in & let them get HOT, I plug in before I take a shower so they are heating while I shower & blow dry my hair. Use the all plastic ones not the ones with felt around the middle. Try to leave one roller on the set when your done & leave the rollers in your hair until the one you left is completely cool & so are the metal rods that hold the rollers, I usually do my makeup while the rollers are sitting. Don’t brush out your hair! Let the gravity pull it down naturally. This is my advice if your hair doesn’t hold the curl well.
