Rolling Quartz are one of my favorites. I've seen them live and absolutely love them. Azalea, Reminiscence and Fearless are must-listens. Korean rock always seems to struggle under the shadow of Kpop, but there are a lot of amazing bands there. DIH, Walking After U, TOUCHED, Danggisio, Yudabinband, Guckkasten, Hangronan, Clownus, Fishingirls...all great!

Enjoyed the reaction. Korea is mostly K-Pop, but there are a few K-Rock bands that are really good. You're right. Due to the popularity of K-Pop in Korea, Rolling Quartz has a bigger fan base internationally than in Korea. I would recommend checking out DIH, another all female Korean rock band with a great sound. They're currently on hiatus due to lack of followers. But they deserve as much recognition as Rolling Quartz.

Rock/Metal is actually not as popular in Korea, so the groups that come from there tend to have a more international audience. Check out more from them and on the Kpop side you can't go wrong with Dreamcatcher, a Pop-Rock Fusion group with many genres. Dreamcatcher's song Good Night is actually covered by Rolling Quartz and both have an MV.

Hi Twistedgunz, Rolling Quartz definitely has a sizable international fanbase. They are currently in Hungry playing in the Yokifest.

Based off the comments, seems Rock/metal isn't big in Korea which would explain the international fanbase. I'm glad I discovered them, they're amazing!

Yeah as everyone said all things happen in Korean music industries. Even some Koreans will say choosing rock is stupid way to be famous. There was K-pop girlgroup named MINX, the concept of girlgroup kpop was too saturated and they couldn't exist well enough. They rebranded as Dreamcatcher with 2 additional members with rock-base kpop and probably got negative responses from the Korean public, at least based on the lyric of the song called Reason which was released as their 6 year anniversary song as dreamcatcher. Rolling Quartz officially debuted around covid era, which was sh*t moment, but also probably helped them since everyone in lockdown moment and listening to music became more important to do chillin at home. They got recognised by big reaction channel owned by Belgian-Turkish and Belgian-Nigerian ladies too. Also rolling quartz did official remake of Dreamcatcher's song Good Night so they probably got more fans from Dreamcatcher fans circle (including me). Dreamcatcher still not so big group but already way bigger compared to 2017 when they got rebranded for the first time. Getting new fans from proved growing fandom of other group solidifying Rolling Quartz to at least can stay exist first. Now after they got US and Europe tour, they still exist and continue.. Sadly doesn't happen to DIH as other said, since the band currently "dying" to stay exist

i absolutely love rolling quartz! This song was a bit experimental in my opinion, I absolutely love stand up and blaze by rolling quartz!!! If you ever wanna check out a male k-rock band you should check out xdinary heroes!! Money on my mind (the offical concert clip) IS REALLY good. Unfortunately rock isnt popular in korea so its hard to find k-rock bands, itd extremely unfair as i know most krock bands dont manage to succeed and the most popular aren’t extremely popular like the most popular kpop groups.
