How brilliant is THAT?! So very doable and useful. And the pegboard is perfect for that ever-changing craft storage space. I have quite a number of small containers with magnets on the back so I've picked up a baking tray from the $Store, drilled 2 holes on each side for the zip ties, and am using that to hold them - a quick coat of spray paint with a little ribbon and it's sweet. So much room for ideas!

Wow, sooo creative and portable! I can see this used as a pet center, the bottom shelf holding bins of dog and cat food, their treats and a bin to hold toys/balls and the peg board can be used to hang their leashes, collars, long rope toys, etc. I can also see this used as a "potters" area for anyone who lives in an apartment or tiny home to put their potting soil and pots on the bottom and the peg board to hold pails of garden equipment, seeds, gloves, etc.... one last thought it can also be used near the front door as a coat, scarf/scarves, hat holder and a small pail for keys on the pegboard and the bottom to hold totes/bins of shoe/boots and one for umbrellas in the winter/rainy seasons. So many uses for this great item! Added bonus you can paint or cover it anyway you want! Thanks so much Norrine for another affordable and amazing storage idea, LOVE IT!!

This is so amazing--not enough adjectives to express it!!!! It is something I can actually do. Always wanted a peg board. If a full 1/2 sheet is hung at the six foot height, would it be top heavy & topple over? I am retired, 76 years old, a little trouble getting around but having the time of my life with you. I turned the bedroom of my small apartment into a craft room with a bed in it. I have good priorities, right? Don't need a stinkin' bedroom when I can have a craft room! Thank you!! Barbara in Dallas

This is an awesome idea! I don't have much wall space. Windows. But need movable storage. I was able to get a pegboard with metal frame around it many years ago when things of this kind were thrown away rather than recycled...now I have a way to utilize it. And when I go to craft sales (I'm an artist/crafter) I can take it apart and bring it along to hang things on rather than using horizontal space for items that would easily hang...YAY!!! Thank you, Norrine! Blessings to you.

I love your ideas. After watching I decided to try and make a rolling cart. I couldn’t find a bookcase at my local thrift store so I had a little tv stand with rollers that I thought might work. I am thrilled with the result. I also used your idea for making my own boxes from foam boards. It took 4. Because some of my supplies were pretty heavy I bought white duct tape at the. Habitat store for 50 cents and wrapped it around the top and bottom, which really makes them sturdy. I used your idea to put felt on the bottoms so they pull in and out easily. Then I decorated the top of each box and the top of the pegboard (which goes all the way to the bottom of the stand) with some cloth ribbon. Thank you for your ideas, I am 77 years old and it was so simple and fun to make.

It’s an organizer’s maxim that wanting is often better than having. I think the crafter’s version is that making is often better than having. I want to make all the stuff, but I don’t necessarily have room to keep all the stuff I want to make. I love this idea. LOVE IT! I just don’t know if it is right for my space, even though I do need more art/craft supply storage. One aspect of this design that I truly appreciate is the versatility of the design; it’s easy to riff on. You could spray paint the rack any color you like and covering/painting peg board is easy and there are tons of tutorials on how to do this. These units could also be used as a room divider if they were gussied up, heck even if they weren’t.
@TheCraftyOrganizer3 жыл бұрын
I agree!! I am always hearing of crafters using a corner of their home... this gives a way to 'close' the area by turning it around when the are done, but having the open and accessible storage when they are working in that area.

Ooh Norrine!!!!! This project is fabulous! I have mobility issues, and it makes me so glad that you are thinking about and creating solutions that work for people like me. I watched the first rolling storage video you made in conjunction with the Posh Paper Lady, and although I liked it, I didn't ever plan to make it for myself. But this version is so easy that I think I can do it. What I really love is the pegboard, let me explain why. You see, I'm a beader, and I love making jewelry for myself and friends. A few years ago I had a friend over for a visit, and after I asked her to help me decide what color of crystal to use I pulled out a ziplock bag filled with stands of various shades. She said I really needed to have all of them hanging up both so that I could enjoy their sparkle all the time, and so I could more easily find what I needed. I do my craft work in my living room, and don't want to put holes in the walls, so I immediately discounted her suggestion. But THIS is the perfect solution! I can display my materials vertically, (which will make me so happy to see the beautiful shimmer) but I don't have to permanently damage the wall. Thank you so much!

Love this idea. Even a small set of draws on the bottom would be great. I think id like to make one of these once i find a use for it. Maybe something to with my essential oils or my seed sewing in the garden.

I think this could provide storage for so many different areas! Can't wait to hear what you use yours for.
