I drive a Durango and in my town, I'm one of the very few people who own a Durango. The newest model. That alone made me feel very cool because I keep my car clean and shiny. Ehhh I see RR here in Toronto quite often, once a week. Bently here and there, Lamborgini all the time and others. People walk by, fancy or not, they know "oh rich guy, who cares". When I drive by in my SVX, driver's necks break as they turn in amazement. People approach it, every day theres a parking lot talk, every mechanic I drive by gives a thubs up. People never race me (exept one civic guy that was racing everyone one night). Motorcycle guys look back and thumbs up me. Now thats true celebrity status to me. Recently the wife and I had the pleasure of being driven to the airport in a Ghost. Boy let me tell ya that ride is every bit as smooth and comfortable as they say, and we were going over some very bad roads. And the interior? Fuggetaboutit. The carpet was thick, the cushions were soft. We had driven around in a BMW 8 Series just a few days earlier and the Rolls blew that thing out of the water in terms of style, comfort and just general awe. The thing had me giggling like a child, I was so darn giddy.

I think the closest I've ever been to a Rolls Royce was a Phantom, and god they are damn huge. I was working with my father on a Mk.1 Golf in a workshop out of town (México). And we saw the car being pulled out from getting washed. They had recently replaced one of the door's handles. Just the piece alone cost around 60K Mexican pesos (Around 2.7K US). Boy, I don't know how much time it will pass until I ever forget that car

I grew up in the town that MC Hammer retired in. There was a gym on the South side of town that, for a while, my dad had signed the family up for. Turns out MC Hammer went to that gym. While I never met him, we did get to see him driving out of the parking lot in his Rolls Royce. That was pretty cool.
