My fellow senators, it is true that our brothers in Italy has abandoned their roman heritage, leaving us the last true heir of Rome. however i can't help be feel that centuries of isolation on our island has created sharp contrasts that i can hardly think of we and the Italians as one culture. for we have fought off the barbarian hordes assaulting our coasts while they fell and are ruled over by barbarians in roman shoes. we keep the old faith and tradition of old while they embrace the worse of heathen god. letting themselves be moulded by it's evil tenets. Salve my emperor, we must rebuild, gain new territories as a lack of imperial lands held personally seems the route of our economic depression, we have 3 options, revolution of titles, conquest or building the choice is yours imperator.

First of all good job on setting our continental foothold, now we can start planing further our strategy. Sadly we are starting to suffer from major economic attrittion. Our powerful Army demand that we find new economic sources or else face our certain demise. And because of this now i propose to keep our effort on expanding to get Lyon no matter the cost. A new trade node will mend our economy and secure our superiority. We can also start the construction of a stone statue to earn prestige, if the economy is enough healthy. The Stilichos at Rome ssdly have betrayed the empire and we can no longer count with them. Besides Egypt is not that Strong by now they lost Africa and so it is that both should be publicly declared Enemies of the Senate. For occupying lands over its authority in the case of Egipt and for disrespecting the Empire's legacy for Rome Ty for reading fellow senators. May the Senate decide wisely.

My Liege, our goals are ever the same; the restoration of the Roman Empire across Europa. But, we cannot neglect Britannia. Not when the rabble seek to topple our dream by undermining our forces with their petty revolts. If they cannot quell their internal ambitions, then perhaps the quality of life afforded to them is to great for them to bear. Them, and their kins. Let the Romans rule themselves in those quarrelling states. Let the people be their voices, switch those unloyal voices from hereditary sucession to republican election. Let only the strong stay in power, and the weak fall upon their own swords when it is their people that throw them from their pedestals. In terms of conquest, the North of Gaul must be secured. Though the Rhine has long served as the Western Border for the Germanians, it was not always so. Varus lost Germania and the imperial eagle in Teutonburg Forest. Armininus' descendants mock our inability to avenge them. They sailed to plunder and take rightfully Roman lands while we recuperated from the West's collapse into turmoil. Perhaps it is an option to of ours to do the same.

We need to revise our economy then weaken the vassals and the restoration of the Celtic provinces important but less of a priority as we need to end the turbulence following Diocletians death

I give my greetings to the esteemed Imperator Aurelian III. I come before you to grant my advise to you as I have done in the past. Firstly, I would like to recycle an old strategy of mine. That being: to marry your extra sons and daughters to our vassals and hence prevent rebellion. I suggest we do this as until another Hellenic realm rises, these extra children serve no purpose. Secondly, I believe that we should fortify our border with Aegyptus. Whilst the Aegyptians are suffering as of now I believe that there is a strong possibility of them resurging and power and if they do they'll come after us once more. This would be due to our Legionaries, whilst skilled and experienced, ranking fewer than neighbouring realms. Thirdly, I propose a more long term goal. Since we have conquered Britannia we have been lacking a true goal. I suggest we stretch our borders to that of the former Gaulic Empire. Finally, this might not be a particularly popular opinion but I do not believe we should stretch our borders to that of the Pax Romanum. Even during the reigns of esteemed Imperators such as Aurelius, riots and phony Imperators were common. The land was too hard to govern. This would not only apply to us if we recaptured the former Roman Lands but it'd be a much worse problem with countless provinces having experienced Independance and would most likely fight tooth and nail to keep it. My fellow Romans, we mustn't let the treachery of the "Italian" people bother us for we have an even worse threat. The Germanic kingdoms threaten Gaul on the yearly basis! We must unite the province for the safety of the Romans in Gaul then we can march on the "Italian" traitors! But first we must stabilise, rid ourselves of the greedy traitors and secure disciplined armies to fight our wars and reliable income to fund the army.
