Thank you Pastor Skip for sharing with us and helping us with the understanding of the Bible. It is of great benefit to me that your explanations open my eyes to passages that sometimes baffle me because I am unfamiliar with the culture, customs and languages that the Bible refers to. Thanks be to God that He works through you and the team at Calvary!

Could you please explain this verse James 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
@laitemusironka9633
@laitemusironka9633 4 ай бұрын
Let me try, I stand to be corrected. Bible says faith without action is dead. From the scripture , I tend to believe that faith can be called obedience I simple terms We are told Abraham was found right because of his faith.. his obedience that he obtained a good report. James 2:14, paraphrased, what does it profit a man to say he has obedience but no works? Obedience is a doing word…our lifestyle and actions are what proof of we obey God…it’s like saying I obey the traffic laws but keep breaking them, what’s the point of me saying I obey them yet my actions clearly show I do not? ..have tried, hope I’m of help

I love Pastor Skip, but I have to disagree with good works are not important, I believe that good works and faithful to God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy spirit (the trinity) are essential practices for a good Christian. I've seen some that think Grace alone is good enough, believe it or not there are people that are perpetual sinners but profess to be saved by Grace. I do not judge as I am the person that knows I walk a thin line every day to be as God hopes we will be. I try to take the narrow path. When I miss the mark (sin) , I repent.

You might want to read Acts over again. Sha’ul never left Judaism and continued as a Pharisee who believes in ישוע.

Sha'ul possibly ate non-kosher with Gentiles, although whether he did or not is irrelevant when taking his Epistles into account

@@heresthadude1080 I highly doubt and would argue against he would have ate non kosher. This is interpretations bias based on replacement theology.

Don't you realize the KJV was written--translated--to a people who spoke a different language from today's language. We can understand today's translations better. Nothing wrong with KJV. JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WORDS AND PHRASES.

Ezekiel 13.18 - 13.23 mark of the beast “Likewise, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own [f]heart; prophesy against them, 18 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Woe to the women who sew magic charms [g]on their sleeves and make veils for the heads of people of every height to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of My people, and keep yourselves alive? 19 And will you profane Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, killing people who should not die, and keeping people alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies?” 20 ‘Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against your magic charms by which you hunt souls there like [h]birds. I will tear them from your arms, and let the souls go, the souls you hunt like birds. 21 I will also tear off your veils and deliver My people out of your hand, and they shall no longer be as prey in your hand. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. 22 “Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and you have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that he does not turn from his wicked way to save his life. 23 Therefore you shall no longer envision futility nor practice divination; for I will deliver My people out of your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 13.18 - 13.23 mark of the beast We have veils vaccines We are not able to buy barley and pieces of bread, without the veil and one magic vaccin in our arm. We are captured like birds in a cage if this is not the mark wat then. and its a hand face combo like the mark
