I do the same with my husband. Just out of the blue ask him “can I do/get x or y”, and he’s always like “sure, babe, whatever you want”. Then I don’t do it or get it and a few weeks later he asks me if I bought what I wanted, I say “no, I’m still considering it” and the cycle repeats lol.

I think some Americans do get confused about this (I am also American). I was hosting a game night where we needed a teapot as an accessory. I told the guests I didn't have a teapot so I asked someone to bring one. They brought a kettle, which I did have, lol. I guess technically you can just stick a few teabags or diffusers into the kettle and do it that way?

A tea pot is what you make tea in. It is usually porcelain. What you heat the water in is a tea KETTLE. Just fyi

We had the inside of our house painted 18mths ago, we got a semi gloss the whole way through. I have kids and pets, and the painter said it will be an easier clean.... he wasn't wrong :)

❤I’m from San Diego. Pacific beach. Weeee. We had rain and wind all day. But no earthquake. So love everything you do. You have inspired me. I’m 69yrs and happily retired. Beautiful kettle. FYI, the reviews say that some of those MacKenzie Childs' kettles tend to rust and chip, even within a few weeks. But ,thankfully, they have a good return policy.

This is late in coming. Im in Huntington Beach, Orange County, south of Los Angeles. We had heavy rainfall from sun up until late in the night. Wonderful listening to the rain all day. Back yard was flooded. Yay. 🎉. Beautiful grass.

I used Behr Satin Black PPU26-01 on my front door, shutters, and storage shed. I love the color because it feels more charcoal than stark black. I have had the color for 7 years and totally recommend it.

Hi MaCenna.... With the beautiful lemon trees in your backyard.....you can add some slices to your sink when doing dishes by hand. I really enjoy the smell and usually will squeeze some into my dish towel and clean the sink afterwards.....smells great and removes the funky smell from my drain.

On the subject of a refrigerator...Have you check into a Sub-Zero under the counter fridge/freezer with ice maker....Has 2 pull out drawers and has several front door covers to choose from....Might be worth investigating.!!...Love everything you do...Very inspiring!!

I love that you’re thinking outside your comfort zone and willing to experiment. You are so right about you’re going to tear these out eventually not terribly far into the future anyway, so why not experiment and be a little daring. Plus like you said, you can always buy another gallon of paint and try another color. I am super excited to see you do your cupboards in that color. You encourage me to go beyond my comfort zone and try different things out, while not being afraid to repaint some thing if it ends up, not being right for me.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I painted our dining room the darkest purple Benjamin Moore had. Can’t remember the color/# but realized when the sun shown on it that it was ripe Pinot noir (we had a vineyard at the time). I loved it so much I did our winery building the same color…exterior. I thought it looked fabulous.

I painted my kitchen cabinets dark green at least a decade before dark was a thing in kitchens. It turned out exactly as I’d hoped and was definitely worth taking the risk for. I used a semi-gloss and it added the right amount of richness to the dark colour and did wear well. I think very dark paint can be more expensive because of the extra pigments.

I’m so happy to hear that y’all are ok. I was concerned as I watched the weather & then heard about the earthquake. Oh that tea pot!!!! Exquisite!!!! Hope you hit your pool situation straightened out. Unfortunately, thats what rain does to pools. But with a shock treatment it generally gets back to its sparkling blue quickly. I was in Paris in first of July. My advice is to take a good pair of walking shoes. Watch for pick pocketers. Glad the storm didn't do damage to your home and outside spaces.

MaCenna be careful no to over heat the teapot. I have the powder blue floral one. Unfortunately the enamel paint does melt if you keep it on the burner a bit too long. Also, my girlfriend has similar brass round sofa tables. Hers has a wooden stained insert. It looks great with the brass
