Saw Ron Simmons touring with WWE in Belfast 2002. He was on the mike joking with D--Von that he didn't see too many people like them in Belfast and he might just stay here and increase the population. Crowd laughed, he had a lot of charisma.

He never earned a top spot nobody paid to see him. When he had a title match with the undertaker on ppv it didn't work because he was a midcard guy. WCW put the belt on him as a publicity stunt to try to get some people watching again but he was never going to be a top guy.

Ole made Doom and Long how everyone remembers them, believable monster heels (he also pushed T-Bolt Patterson JYD and Harlem Heat) and a few months after Ole was replaced Doom lost the titles and were broken up and Teddy Long was managing Johnny B Badd. As far as complaining that he wasted years in WCW, I can't see him accomplishing much in early 90's WWF.
