That was very touching and so kind...He will be so missed, I just hope that more people can see that Depression NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT and NOT PUSHED ASIDE BECAUSE IT IS NO JOKE!! EVEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, SOMETIMES JUST TALKING CAN HELP but he was just struggling too much and he surely will be missed:( Won't ever be the same without Robin Williams

Robin did what he did for you because by spreading joy and laughter throughout the world, he knew he was minimizing the number of people who felt what he was suppressing for so many years. His purpose became bringing light onto others' lives, just as he did yours, Ron. We love you, Robin. And you too, Ron.

I swear, even after a few years I continue coming across things like this. Was there anyone Robin hadn't affected? Kudos to you, Ron... it really is always nice to know that someone you'd never consider would think of you in one way or another, in fact has you in their mind and, further, is looking to help you succeed at whatever it is you feel you may be failing. Unbelievable. I'm glad for you, Ron. You deserve the good things. I hope you remember this, though, and use your influence for the good of another in much the same way. You're the man, sir. signed - just another fan.

Ron your humor has enthralled me since the first time I heard you tell the story about getting thrown out of a NY bar. Robin was a genius. What a loss,!! I find it ironic that while sobriety was the common thread that brought you two together, you say goodbye by toasting him with a glass of Scotch. LMAO. IMHO being able to give people laughter is a huge gift from God. How blessed you are! Please try to control your drinking? We can't lose you! And don't forget to thank God daily for your blessed view of the world. His Grace has certainly given your fans a treat. Thank you and God for the laughter.

Fine tribute to a great comic genius! You may find this funny, Ron..........I saw your show once at a place where I had also seen a show of Robin's -- The Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA. I still laugh right out loud when I remember your line about having traveled from the Philadelphia Airport by way of Fallujah to get to the TOWER. OMG.......that is so funny - and sooooo true :) Thanks to you for all the laughs and thanks to Robin for being the quickest wit I've ever heard in my life.

Hey ron my boyfreind is a lot like you. He is also from Texas. Houston and he always said you made him laugh ever since he discovered you on CMT when he was 13. Now he knows that most of the stories you told on stage were true. He is a proud texan. My point is that because of your jokes he made it through his teenage years and helped him get through the day. Whatever your going through he wants to say dont give up on living to the fullest materialistic things like alcohol doesnt make you happy it makes you feel good happiness comes from within he says thank you for making his confusing young years have at least laughter to make it easier

You will probably never see this. ... BUT Honey. ... got sober at the same time Robin did. .. (and, as he says. ...in wine country. .)! I just happened to already live here. He was an amazing man. ..and anyone who had the privilege of meeting him knows! You just have to just keep on keeping on. ... and share what's going on. .. I just found out a couple of months ago I have Parkinsons. ... Robin is an example of not giving up, but You Must Share How You Feel. I am so sorry he's gone. .. but he shared and gave much. Trying to be that for my children

When I was an addict I was addicted to the drugs yes but I was more addicted to escaping reality! All the truama in your life and all the things you lost or were going to lose all that just went away when I got high and yes as soon as you sober up they all come rushing back so you just get high again and again and it turns into a ride that's very hard to get off

Sobriety IS BORING. If you can make 90 days, it starts to feel better. If you make a year, you have all you had before and more. Got to do it one day at a time. (boring)...but it works. By then the meetings rock. Good material for stories too, ..............anonymously, of course.

for some reason, I want to relate to Mr. Ron White. Not for the most obvious reason, yeah I have a few now and again.I may be wrong, after watching and enjoying his stand-up what I call his interpretation of society, I believe -comedians- likeRon drink to dummy down, to meld with society. Just imagine what Mr. White could do without a drink in his hand.
