@@strangerinthealps5874 your right man. i did forget about the great one. all three are different but make up the great spectrum of southern comedy. you got to give theo respect for being a right wing comic in a modern area, its a lot harder than anything hicks had to endure. Ron is simply the best southern personality (personal choice) and is one of the best set up/ punchline joke writers of all time. both are winning people over across enemy lines and in hostile environments (LA). Hicks like jeff and larry plays to the crowd that they know is safe. These boys are doing gods work and fighting the good fight.

Been watching Theo in 2020, now 2021. He’s absolutely one of my favorite humans. Mark Normand told him recently (2years after this recording) how he’s really come into his own, like he’s settled into himself a lot. I didn’t really get what he meant, but watching this one I’m starting to. Theo is such a singular dude, he’s so full of hilarious quips that often slide under the radar, it’s weird to see him asking all these awkward insecure type questions. Rons handling it well but it’s clearly off-putting for him from the get go. Theo today is one of the goofiest, most relatable dudes in the world, can’t quite put my finger on it but something about this interview just feels like he’s drawn to questions about fear and failure and a different sorta awkward, I don’t know, it’s still there but somehow more positive, more fully developed. I adore these dudes. Theo and Ron are some of the funniest motherfuckers on the planet, but I’m not really laughing at this. It’s borderline uncomfortable. I’m not sure what I mean but I don’t want to just abandon this attempt, I got a glimpse of understanding. It’s about growth. Who we were ain’t who we are. I love y’all
