"The fundamental problem of the Middle East-a secure Israel and a legitimate deal for the Palestinian people-has still to be resolved." Forty years, two months, three weeks, and four days later, it still has. Are we surprised? 9:24 (Sunday 24 December 2023.)

Those were real Politicians, both loved their countries, genuinely worked for their people. I was in my late teens and had the honor to live that ERA. The main reason why I can't digest what the Republican Party Became to be now.

I'm an American who is 52 years old and can personally remember Ronald Reagan and I can assure you that "peace", " freedom" and "law" to people like Thatcher and Reagan means nothing more than poor people working for rich people all day for little if no money at all for the benefit of rich people while rich people sit on their asses all day enjoying themselves while doing nothing.

Wes you'll find many a downtrodden citizen living in communist and even socialist leaning nations who can only but wish they had been born in America for by their experiences, peace, freedom and law were the very definition of the united states. Injustice to you may be as simple as inequality but America was built on the promise of equality of opportunity. There never was a promise of equality for that only exists in nations where the citizens are equally poor and even there, some are less equal than others.

Wes Bervig, what you assure me in your statement about poor people working for rich people...is that a good thing in your opinion? Or is that a bad thing in your opinion? And are you a poor person or are you a rich person in your opinion. Or are you planning to become either a poor person or a rich person? For 'peace' is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice. And 'freedom' means freedom from coercion or threat of coercion by the government. And since it is the upholding of 'law' that guarantees you both peace and freedom, it follows that you are completely free to reap what you sow by either using your rational faculty, or evading that effort. If you would rather be rich than poor, then strive rationally to become rich. If you would rather be poor, then don't strive at all. By law you are free to choose, and justified to succeed.
