This hits home for me. My nephew was born with congenital heart failure. He weighted just 2.5 lbs. at birth and we just knew that the holes in his heart would make the stakes impossible for him. But we held onto hope and after just 2 months and 2.5 more pounds, he had his first heart surgery. It was a success and he was a trooper. He went through a total of 4 surgeries over the course of his first 10 months of life. But his little grey eyes held light and his smile was the world. Anyone who met him loved him immediately. However, things went bad after the fourth surgery. He got an infection and even though it had cleared up, he never became that smiley baby again. The last picture of him, at just 10 months, was right before his 5th surgery. His eyes had no light, his face red, and he looked like he just gave up. Yet we were optimistic until the very end. He passed on the operating table. Poor baby, he was the first child of my siblings, the first of a new generation. And he too will never see his little brother. I wish there was some way to end such a terrible pain of losing a child, but there has yet be one. R.I.P sweet boys, Ronan and Tyler.

In 2011, Taylor and Maya wrote this song for Ronan. It broke our hearts and brought so much awareness to fighting cancer. Unbeknownst to Taylor, years later her mother, Andrea, would begin her battle with cancer. This song and its story was now even more personal. When Taylor was robbed of her masters (including this song) I was sad that this story would be owned by someone else. And now in 2021, we can rejoice in Taylor's Version being released soon with Maya's support. Ronan, his story and his family will live on eternal in this song, and we will treasure his memory along with it. Much love to Taylor and Ronan's family for sharing his remarkable story with us ❤❤

I just learned about this sweet, beautiful, blue-eyed fighter within the last couple of days. I like Taylor Swift but I never got any of her albums or anything like that I would just hear songs on the radio. But I've been so into her recently honestly because of the fact that I'm a huge football fan Carrie well I'm a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and I absolutely love the podcast New Heights. And then all the sudden Taylor Swift comes in to the picture and I see her with Jason from the chief even though I liked his brother better because he's with the Eagles of course LOL so I've been so obsessed about finding out more about their relationship and I have gone down the whole Swifty rabbit hole and I am hooked. So I guess I'm a newbie swiftie. LOL but I saw the video of her singing this song and I was just in tears. And just to know that she wrote the lyrics from what the mother was saying. It's just absolutely beautiful and my heart just hurts for his family.
