She wrote all this for an orchestra the record company she was under refused to allow her to release these songs. So she went independent and now look at her. PHENOMENAL isn't a big enough word for our Raye for those of us who have followed her for quite some time. We are ecstatic for her.

@suzannebaxter2888 I really understand why people go without a record label nowadays. I absolutely loved this performance and her!

Welcome to the world of Raye! She is phenomenal. She is so sweet and funy and soooo talented. I hope you'll watch more. I would suggest ''it's man, man world'' live from Montreux. She'll be a legend. Already won many award from Brit Awards last year. She'll put a smile each time you listen to her :-) Sorry for your baby, I'm sure she'll be fine, it's call -life mark- ;-) Have a good day.

Great reaction. Really sorry about your guitar. Raye won 6 Brit Awards this year more than any other artist in the history of the event. Her album My 21st Century Blues album went to No 1 in the UK. Raye is a fantastic live performer. Can I suggest reacting to Raye performing a medley of her songs at the Brits. The Thrill Is Gone at the Mercury Prize Awards or her performance on SNL. I could go on and on.

Speaking of tears ... . I know exactly how you felt. Things like that happen to me, probably to all of us. We just chew ourselves out for being so clumsy/stupid/careless/whatever. We wish we could turn back time a few seconds. Yeah. Keep us posted. Meanwhile, what a great performance! It was all awesome. I may have heard of Raye, but I don't think I ever heard or watched her before.

I adore Raye's music. The first song of hers that perked my ears was Escapism.

oh wow, just made my evening, she’s a star and your a legend, double whammy to enjoy before heading off to the coolest jazz club anywhere for a bottle of excellent tinto and supper. Don’t know who’s playing but if you’re not seriously good you’re not getting on, so it’s always top quality music usually to a strong ‘Shaft’ -Miles Davis, jazz, funk sound.

Oops, forgot to say dreadful news about the guitar, almost unforgivably careless but it sounds like you’ve given yourself a repair project for the next two weekends. Actually there’s nothing wrong with guitars carrying a few scars, if anyone asks, out it down to a busking accident - will give you loads of street cred!😁

Having watched this a couple times, you can actually see your mood change... At the start you looked slightly pissed off, understandably, as the song progresses you slowly start to forget why you were pissed off... the power of good music...

Id reccomend you listen to her singing a medley of her songs at the Brit awards or Its a mans mans world at Montreux Jazz festival. Listen to her full album My 22st Century blues its phenomenal the best production I think I've ever heard. Every song is a banger it deserves to be reviewed as a conplete album you will not regret it. Hope you manage to get your guitar fixed btw.

Hey Roni, sorry 'bout your guitar, hope they are able to fix it for a reasonable amount of money! But after all it was still your lucky day because you discovered RAYE, I'm so glad you did this reaction all the same and she was able to make you forget your anger and sorrow at least for a while. I discovered her four months ago and she quickly became one of my favorite artists alive. Her idols are Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and most of all Nina Simone... There's a short video out, cut from a longer interview, in which she responds very modestly to the constant Amy comparisons, she says it's because the color of her hair and her UK accent...and that Amy is immortal and was on another level--- But for me she's up there with the greats, her versatility, vocal prowess, excellent lyricism, musicality and musicianship are without comparison in today's music industry! Hope you'll keep going with her rather sooner than later, next her medley at the Brit awards, and then maybe "It's A Man's World" live from the Montreux Jazz Festival... Peace and love from BavaRAYEa!

Very soulful voice. Not my genre but WOW! She is a once in a generation kind of singer. I have a feeling my kids already know about her 😂. Sorry about the guitar. Hope it can be fixed for a reasonable price. I once left a pair of Maui sunglasses at the shooting range. Should have worn any of the cheap ones I had but such is life.

Battle damage on the guitar? Nowadays you can buy new guitars already like that. They then call it 'road worn' or 'reliced' and charge extra money for it. Your guitar would be a 'light relic' one. If you can still plug it in, it should be no problem. I know the feeling when you hear a guitar falling though. Keep on rocking. 🎸

I loved this reaction alot this will help you a bit it is part Amy Winehouse and part Ren like if they had a musical baby it would be Raye lol anyways she is awesome I have listened to a few other songs of her.

She reminds me of Amy Winehouse and Bette Midler a bit but I don’t think she’s as good really. It’s all down to personal taste though, I wasn’t that keen on mixing a bit of rap with what essentially was a blues/jazz song. She does have a good voice, so maybe a different song……..
