I love her mixture of glam, elegance and swagger. She seems to merge styles that should conflict but they just don’t. She makes it work seamlessly

The royal Albert hall is almost considered the national concert hall of the UK so for her to be invited to perform would have been such an honour and career highlight for her as a British artist. Especially when you know her story, it’s like after all that pain and struggle it was worth it to have reached this point. That’s why she’s so excited/overwhelmed

There was such a void left by Amy, but Raye has now filled that void. What a huge phenomenon she is and she’s a brilliant songwriter too. She’s written songs for Beyoncé and John Legend amongst others. We are very proud of her. Go Raye and conquer the rest world with your talent. Knock ‘em dead girl 👏👏👏🇬🇧

Raye's voice is so similar to Amy's one BUT without the joy the smile and the glow !!! Raye is really tremendous, beautiful and shinning artist with an opened heart and beautiful soul...

She’s incredible. You can probably see why we were a bit baffled this side of the pond for her to be completely passed over at the Grammys.
@GraciesMom8 ай бұрын
I agree--but we’re weird here. We pass over true talent to give accolades to those that make a buck. Ie. Taylor Swift. Every once in awhile we get it right like with Brandi Carlisle singing The Joke at the Grammys. She’s quite a different singer but rocked the house with her individuality. That’s what Raye is--an individual artist that no one sounds like. She deserves all the awards. 💜

She is incredible, I must say I enjoyed seeing you Rosalie reacting to it as first time listener. For me it was similar, the glam, the orchestra, her clothes, her excitement her down to earthness contrasted with her sensational voice, phrasing, operatic, jazz, blues influenced rap singing. It had me mesmerized too. That one long note really sent me into orbit! I just feel she has such a lot of talent and joy inside her and she is liberated now and recognized for herself and and what she brings which is amazing. I hope it stays that way!

To me its interesting to see british singers get inspiration by black american jazz, gospel, blues, and r&b. In amercia its just "black music" but its interesting to see people internationally find inspiration and influence by it and celebrate it.

Where did she come from?, spending over 7 years languishing at Polydor on a 4 album deal where they repeatedly refused to release any of her music. She had to split from them and release her debut album independently. Just shows the terrible state of the music industry today that they can't see the talent that is literally sitting in front of them. The death of independent record labels has caused untold damage to the music industry, and the big labels spoon feed commercial crap which does well on tiktok rather than invest in artists.

I never really liked AW and alway felt she was a mumbling wreck and very overrated . She was no Sarah Vaughn or Ella . Raye has a different talent altogether . She has power , clarity and range . You know what’s she’s singing and it’s isn’t ambiguous. I alway felt AW sang seriously hindered by her habits . A breath of fresh air that is Raye . I’m a big jazz fan and I have very very high standards on vocalists .

I'm sorry, but I hear you say nothing that we can't hear ourselves. I'm confused. I have ears. I can hear the orchestra. I can hear the way she can adapt her voice until it sounds like that of Amy Whinehouse. What is your goal? With this line of presentation?
@rosalieelliottofficial11 ай бұрын
Not sure if you watched the full video or not, but later on I speak about the lyrics and the meaning thereof. In this case the lyrics don't give as much content (in my opinion) to dive deeper into on a psychological basis. Fairly straight forward meaning here. Sometimes I dive deeper into philosophies and psychology (perhaps I could have spoken on achievements, the psychology behind having such a large audience, the impact it has on the artist and their identity, human behavior when it comes to fans, toxic relationships, gas lighting etc, pathological liars etc (see lyrics), but in this case I kept it simple. Feel free to browse around my videos for a variety of presentations and conversations :-)
