Ronnie was unbelievable !!! I saw both Dorian and Ronnie in there primes and I thought nobody could get bigger than Dorian he was my inspiration to compete which I did , and then I remember while Dorian was the Mr O , I had just finished training legs and my training partner threw me Flex Magazine and there was this guy that was curling 225 lbs for reps and they were show casing him , as I looked at the relatively unknown would be King Ronnie , I thought this guy is going to be the next Mr O , because he was just big and thick freeking big , and then Dorian retired and here comes Ronnie just unbelievable he actually was bigger than my inspiration Dorian . I told my friend he’s going to win probably 10 Mr O s , he got 8 I was close . I saw him in person and he was just cartoonish , I told my friend well we might as well be aerobic instructors because we will probably never get to that size , and we were right . Both were incredible Dorian was the first , then Ronnie . Big Ramy is big but he’s no Ronnie or Dorian

Ronnie wasn't bigger than Dorian until 2003, he was actually pretty light at his first Olympia, weighed only 248 pounds. Was around that weight as late as 2002.

Official weight, Yates 1997: 272 pounds Official weight Coleman 2002: 248 pounds. As I said previously, Coleman was smaller than Yates pre 2003 and way softer afterwards because he traded conditioning for more size otherwise he wouldn't have been 280+ in 2003, nobody gains 30+ pounds of pure muscle + he had a bad gut everybody saw.

Though Ronnie was biggest weightwise, but there's something about Dorian's muscle quality, especially in his back, that's outstanding and a bit mo' freakish. However - I would always prefer to look like early Bill Pearl, Reeves or Grimek.

Surely there have been impressive physiques but none have left their mark on the sport like these two titans, to be noted is the Shadow competed 25 years ago and the King about 17 years ago. Dorian brought in the era of the mass monster ............but he also came in extremely hard. Ronnie, finally getting on the special program finally got to the next level and took the mass monster look to the next level ..... but not necessarily to the same quality as Dorian. Additionally .... this was when the whole bubble gut trend started ...............and no idea why it was "accepted". Even if Dorian lacked a front double bi ..... I still think he looks better overall in everything else.

The complete opposite of his arms, glutes and hamstrings. 2:48 just an example, the difference in dryness, striations and overall conditioning between his upper body and lower body is more than apparent. Even a blind man can see it.

Today more and more athletes are coming away from the fundamentals : compound basic movements . All new silly systems xyz system. Progressive overleaf builds muscle not Giant aerobic sets with baby weight. In comparison today they rain like Pussy’s taking more and more drugs. Dorian and Ronnie were the best in their eras . Jay too trained that bit smarter to continue today with a normal healthy life
